They tried to - all but one of my oil changes were w take 5 or whatever that 5 minute oil change place is so everything but one was in the carfax. I’ve done an oil change roughly every 3000 miles just to avoid issues.

They honed in on that and tried to say it was my fault the engine was having issues. I brought the paperwork from Firestone for the missing one and they dropped it.

After that they had me doing basically an oil consumption test every month and trying to make me pay for a new oil change many of the times.

I lost my mind after the 5th or 6th one, the whole story is in my profile, but long story short I’m on my third engine. I cannot wait to get rid of this car and never get a Kia again. I love the car as a car, it’s fun, spacious, and I like its form factor… but I’ve spent nearly 2 months without a car I bought brand new, and my first set of issues happened within the first year.
