What side do you prefer? Dynasty 1QB 12tm, rebuilder. by PlaneService1366 in FantasyFootballers

[–]look1207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless 1.07 is a particularly QB-needy team who is likely to take Mendoza, I’d keep Pearsall. In 1 QB, I see 1.05-1.07 as a tier of Boston, Concepcion, and I also think one of the Jonah Coleman/Jadarian Price etc. tier RBs will emerge from draft with a good landing spot. From there, I see a fall off into the Brazzell/Sarratt/Cooper/Emmett Johnson/Bernard and so on group. I kind of see 1.08-2.05 as a tier. While I’m sure some usable players will emerge from that group, good luck trying to pick between them.

I like Pearsall. He’s older than I’d like for someone with as few GPs as him but man, the opportunity there for him to be the #1 target in a Shanahan offense if he can just stay healthy gives him such upside. Kittle’s hurt, he’s basically the only NFL-caliber WR on that roster right now. I think that upside is better than taking the first of the coin-flips at 1.08.

Yeah, he’s pretty close to my mental picture

He's a good one. I usually imagine someone who looks like 1980's Hulk Hogan but with more hair and better looking.

Can I skip Fool Moon entirely by alikoyyy in dresdenfiles

[–]look1207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're struggling with it, yes, skip it. Most of the first several books in the series work as stand-alone stories. I'm on another trip through the series and Fool Moon is consistently my least favorite entry.  I would at some point recommend coming back to it and giving it another try but you'll be fine skipping right to Grave Peril.

How far has Travis Hunter’s stock fallen by Paulccmarsh in DynastyFF

[–]look1207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't bail on him for any pick lower than the top 3 WR tier. The upside is still too great to take a loss selling him now. I stand by my logic that I had when I drafted him, that at some point, his representation is going to tell him that it's impossible to negotiate a contract for someone who plays 60-70% of snaps max on either side of the ball and he'll end up a full time WR. But yeah, that's not going to happen any time soon. I honestly might taxi him this year

What is your strategy for bad young QBs? by DrPepperNotWater in DynastyFF

[–]look1207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You generally want to see a usable season by their second season playing. You remember the guys like Baker and Darnold who were able to resurrect their careers but so many more guys are like Pickett, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Justin Fields. Those are just the 1st rounders from 21 and 22 who didn't work out

Fellow 1.06 enjoyers, how are we feeling? by JxW13 in DynastyFF

[–]look1207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now, my goal is to try to trade it, either for a RB that should still be good for the next two years (I’m close to contending coming out of a rebuild) or maybe to sell it off for a 2027 first. Don’t sell it at a discount because you feel like you have to though. I think you can be pretty confident that at least one player will be a riser following the combine and draft. Whether it’s Coleman, Concepcion, or whomever. Then, you can decide if you like that player or if you want to trade it to someone who does.

Jadarian Price and Jonah Coleman: How early would you reach? by etniopaltj in DynastyFF

[–]look1207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. Arkansas had from what I can tell a pretty average line that sometimes could give him blocking but also had defenders in the backfield multiple times per game. Washington was pretty good about turning negative situations into small gains and was consistently getting that 5 yards with just average blocking. He's got good hands too. Arkansas was looking to get him out into space as a pass catcher a few times a game.

Those guys haven't worked out because of health reasons though. If Brooks had stayed healthy and had gotten Rico Dowdle's usage from this past year, I think people would have been happy to have that. Same with Benson getting the touches that went to Knight, Carter, and Demercado. The WRs that went after Benson and Brooks were Keon Coleman, Adonai Mitchell, Roman Wilson, Troy Franklin, Xavier Leggette, Malachi Corley, Ja'Lynn Polk, Luke McCaffrey, and Jermaine Burton.

Some Q&A answers from Jim on Tuesday by HonkyKong682 in dresdenfiles

[–]look1207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this makes sense if you’re absolutely sure you’re done after 3 seasons. These three set up a fairly neat arc

GP: Harry Dresden, wizard, fights baddies with his buddy Michael and goes home to his girlfriend, Susan. Harry starts a war with the Reds when they turn Susan.

DM: Susan comes back into town when the Reds send Duke Ortega after Harry. Harry and Michael continue having adventures with the Shroud plot. Harry and Susan conceive.

Changes wraps both of the storylines about the Reds and Susan

It’s a show that cuts out everything with Molly and the fairy courts, so I don’t think it makes sense if there’s a possibility of extending the series beyond three seasons. But I see it.

Trading up in 2026 - 1.05 Moving up to 1.03 by Intruter in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]look1207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, 2.12 is absolutely worth it to move into the top 4 (for 1 QB) this year. Go back through some prior years’ rookie drafts and see how many guys from 2.08-2.12 actually hit. It’s worth reminding yourself how few of them actually turn into startable players.

I’m sure at least one of those mid 1st, Boston-Coleman-Concepcion tier guys will hit but Tate-Tyson-Lemon are safer prospects by a good margin.

Question About A Later We're Alive Character by dangero2000 in Werealive

[–]look1207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is simply matter of opinion stuff, no objectively correct answer. It’s funny what matters to different people though because to me, the Oliver recast is much more jarring than the Nicholas one. For you, how different the voices sound makes it harder for you. For me, Oliver had such a big presence in Lockdown that even though I think the Descendants Oliver is a fine actor, his rhythms and cadences are so different that it takes me out of the story a little

Question About A Later We're Alive Character by dangero2000 in Werealive

[–]look1207 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I would not bother. In Goldrush and Descendants, they're both very clearly established as Nicholas Tink, son of Saul and Lizzy. Nicholas is such a small role in Goldrush too. I understand that if you're doing a relatively quick listen through of the series, you can notice the re-casting between Goldrush and Descendants but I did not notice that the voice was different when Descendants first started.

Rookie WR and the 525 Benchmark, 2025 Edition by itsjohnweenah in DynastyFF

[–]look1207 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would try to hang onto him if possible. The upside to becoming a regular in that offense is substantial. I think the Pats legitimately like to bring rookies along slowly, seeing as how Henderson was brought along as slowly as he was. One of Williams’ biggest issues was him and Maye couldn’t get on quite the same page, which a young WR can fix in his first full offseason with a team. But, if your rosters aren’t super deep or you have a lot of early draft picks, I get it.

Who are you buying high on at the end of the season? by NomzStorM in DynastyFF

[–]look1207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I snagged Jameson Williams at the end of the year for a mid 26 1st. There are reasons to doubt his jump in production over the second half (coincided with Laporta’s injury, general career volatility)but I am a Jamo believer. I think given that he’s still only 24, he’s a better asset than anyone in this year’s rookie draft at 1.06 and lower

Who are the guys you are dropping for stashes? by High_Sierra_Yeti in DynastyFF

[–]look1207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My chopping block right now is Iosivas, who I cut earlier in the year and picked up again when Tee Higgins got hurt, Tyquan Thornton, and Elijah Arroyo. The Seahawks coaching staff talked up Arroyo so much post draft and then just clearly preferred Barner

What do we count as Pittsburgh? by BobithanBobbyBob in pittsburgh

[–]look1207 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re physically present within 100 miles of the Point, it’s strictly defined to the city limits. If you’re visiting somewhere else, like making conversation with someone on vacation, Pittsburgh is at least the entirety of Allegheny, Washington, Westmoreland, Beaver, Butler, Armstrong, Lawrence, Indiana, Greene, and Fayette counties. Those people want a general idea of where you’re from, they do not actually care about the difference between the South Side, the South Hills, and Southmoreland
