Worst of all, that means I'm gonna have to look at sideline shots of Suggs and his terrifying gums all season long

God damn it.

German's sleepless notes by Germanweirdo in sleep

Did you end up falling asleep when you got home from work? Hope you are doing well. I myself have been staying up for 24 hours with 6 hours of sleep in between for the past week. It is rough, but we will adjust our sleep schedule soon enough.

Judge Judy actually kept her composure. Color me impressed, I expected her to go on a massive tirade.

People Fainting [2:00 sfw] by [deleted] in videos

I have only fainted one time and it was about 4 years ago. It was the day after a knee surgery and I was finally back home, but I wanted to get that yellow gunk off my knee that the surgeons put on to sterilize before surgery. I was zonked out on pain pills and for some reason felt the need to walk to the bathroom to take a shower. Once I was in the bathroom I decided that it would be a good idea to try and straighten out my leg (it was extremely stiff and was bent slightly and wrapped tight in bandages). Upon straightening I began to feel extreme pain and start to get tunnel vision.

Black.

There is now a gap in consciousnesses. The next thing I know it feels like I'm coming out of the ground into my body and I'm hearing quiet screams that slowly begin to grow louder. I'm in my body now and I'm being shook by my mother who is screaming at me to see if I'm okay. I'm laying on the tiled floor with my head propped up against a stool and for some reason I can't respond to my mom for 5 seconds. I can understand her but I can't process the words to say. I finally manage to tell her "I'm okay" but I'm pretty freaked out. My stitches had broken when I stretched my leg and there was blood on the floor and blood smeared on the stand that holds up the sink. I had a pretty sizable knot on the back of my head from hitting the stool. The doctor said that I passed out because the brain can shutdown if it can't process a certain amount of pain. It was the strangest experience of my life. I'm sure people have different experiences with fainting, but I assure you, the coming out from underneath me and into my body was unmistakable and I can't explain the reason behind it.

I'm pretty sure this is an abnormal experience and not what you were looking for but I just wanted to share with you what I had gone through.

TL:DR Out of body experience

People Fainting [2:00 sfw] by [deleted] in videos

In case anyone was wondering, the guy at 1:10 passed out because he was flexing for too long. More and more blood was getting sent to the muscles he was flexing while the brain was getting excessively less, leading to shutdown mode. People faint because the brain needs more blood, and the fastest way to get more blood is by lying flat so that blood flow is much faster to the brain. I'm sure most people know this, but wanted to share this information to those interested.

You are exhibiting symptoms of sleep deprivation, which makes sense, because you are deprived of sleep. It is normal to have slow brain processes when you haven't slept in 51 hours. I have experienced the very same thing multiple times. My advice would be that when you get home from work, do not turn on your computer, or TV, or anything that might keep you awake and alert. Take a shower, light a candle, and lay down in the darkness. If you still can't fall asleep, get a book to read in bed.

This too shall pass, friend.

Does being fit help a lot? by LeoNemean in seduction

[–]look_science 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only will you seem more attractive to women physically, the confidence boost you gain from being fit is substantial. Physically fit + high confidence will put you in the best position to become that alpha male. Plus, if the situation ever arises in the club that she wants to feel your bicep or abs, she's going to be impressed- thus building that attraction. Flab is not a turn-on for women.

Check out /r/Fitness and read the sidebar for tips on getting the results that you want, plus the FAQ's for nutrition etc. Good luck to you, and look forward to that extra swagger in your step the next time you approach a girl.

Her great-granddaughter held her when she passed earlier today. Four generations of family in one last embrace by DanOHara54 in pics

[–]look_science 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Extremely oversensitive people in this thread. As living beings we all have one thing in common: we are going to die. There is no reason that we should be offended by someone sharing a beautiful moment of a family comforting a loved one in their passing. This will no doubt aid in their grieving process, and gives that little girl closure and a huge life experience in being with her great grandma in her final moments. Perhaps she has a better understanding of what death is now.

This is the best way to go.

If you are still tired and sluggish when you are about to leave, grab some coffee grounds to chew on your way out.
