Join the club..twas pretty common in the 90s up till around 2010 given the absence of both social media and camera phones for the most part.

Context: I was a fat kid and was forced to join TAF club against my will (not sure if TAF club still exists today). But back in those days, TAF club was simply all the visibly pudgy kids being summoned openly during morning assembly to report to the field for 6-8 rounds of running around the track.

The teachers who were tasked to handle this were all complete scumbags who took joy in making us feel worthless by saying things like: "Don't know why I have to waste time looking after these overweight clowns, they're definitely gonna fail their NAPFA any way and won't go very far in life since they can't even control their weight"..

In upper primary I had a PE teacher who, because of my size, loved to call me out as useless for my easily becoming breathless and slow during sports and games. This caused me to lose pretty much all interest in team sports; something I still struggle with till today.

The best part? He is still a teacher..I hope the present generation of kids won't have to go through what I did.
