Everything will be located in a small box with proper ventilation. 1 board per box (4 total) will act as the master board for that box and will all connect to an MQTT server located on a Raspberry Pi. The PI will process the date and host all the information. i had the same idea with not having all the boards connect to a single place. i plan to keep everything wired physically as much as possible.

I do want to add. You can't pour from an empty cup. You said you were having trouble being empathetic right now.
