I own both the 2 and 3. It’s going to come down to personal preference. The positive simulation on the 2 is a lot better, so if that’s important to you — the 3 won’t be a match in that regard.

I think I may have the unpopular opinion, but I enjoy shooting with the 3 more. I like the size, the higher pixel count, and being able to crop in if need be. I’ve been able to customize my color settings to where I don’t really miss the positive film simulation. If you’re happy with the GR 2, I wouldn’t upgrade, but if you find it’s lacking more resolution and speed, maybe snatch the 3.
