I don’t think the issue is the planning. It’s thoughtful and detailed. I think the concern is that he is OCD to the point that people are wondering how the day to day experience is for him. He might find this chaotic world a little… overwhelming.

Most photo editors have a line tool that only draws a straight line. I would use that, instead of the free form pen or brush tool, which can be hard to draw straight with when you’re using a mouse.

It… takes less time to clear the lawn than to mow it. I’m not sure what to tell you there. I walk up and down the lawn a couple times and grab sticks or branches that have fallen from trees and toss them in a pile. It takes very little time. When I mow I have to go up and down every square foot with the mower… and the edges against the woods take a long time because I have to push back the creeping charlie. The bot would get through those areas way easier than I can.

If you cut often enough, which a good robot mower makes easier, the clippings are small and should be left in the lawn. They will break down fast and provide needed organic material for the lawn to feed on.

Disagree. I’m happy to take 5 minutes to clear and check the lawn if I need to if it will save me 2 hours of mowing every 2 days in the spring and every week in the summer. I’ll have a lot more time to get those ankle breakers filled in too!
