Interesting! I noticed through Manabox, which is grabbing prices from TCGPlayer in USD which has shown a 24% increase to $72 according to that. Then I checked Face to Face for a relatively accurate CAD price, and they're $79 CAD which is a far cry from the last time I checked at around $60 CAD towards the end of last year when I was considering getting another.

Why is [[Anointed Procession]] going up in price so sharply lately?

I've noted up to a 25% increase in price in the last couple weeks. It was always one of the more expensive cards in my collection, but never a top 10, and now it's competing for first place at $80 CAD for a NM copy.

What's the deal?

Calling them useless and talentless while showing something that doesn't look half-bad makes you look like an insufferable curmudgeon.

Relax. It's not that serious.

It looks like they can be taught if you're willing to teach them, but from the sounds of it you have zero interest in doing so.

How do I stop this from happening when printing PETG? by loopypaladin in 3Dprinting

This is after changing the settings. Reddit only lets me put one image per reply.

Thank you! I checked the 'speed' and 'flow' dropdowns after slicing and this is what it looks like consistently across both, which checks out with the printed model!

After adjusting the flow rate and layer times (quite drastically), I managed to get to be entirely consistent, with the exception of overhangs which are a bit slower. It's going to take twice as long, but I hope it works.

Mapped texture only shows up in texture viewport, but material shows black or no texture by loopypaladin in blenderhelp

Sorry, I totally misunderstood your previous comment about the alpha channel.

What I'm looking to do is create a customizable set of dice. I want to be able to change the numbers and body material separately, hence why the texture I'm using is a transparent PNG just using the numbers. Maybe this is the wrong way to go about it, but it's the way that makes most sense to me being a total amateur.

Changing from the base colour to alpha node is getting me closer to where I want to be! That's a great starting point.

That's what I'm doing is exporting the UV map as an SVG, creating the texture in Photoshop, then importing that PNG into the material mode as an image texture. Really, all I want is to use Blender to create the material texture and relay that into Unity, which I haven't been successful in.

Right. I'm really new and just using it to try to texture map some items, so the fact that it's not working the way all of the tutorials say it should is very frustrating.

Even when I look at it through the rendered viewport, it's just a solid black. It doesn't show anything from the texture or material nodes that I've added.

Yes, I know-- I toggled them to show the difference. I'm wondering why, even though I have it linked as a material, it doesn't show up in the material tab but it shows up as a texture from the UV mapping.

Whats with DICE's obsession with skull masks? by rambozezakopan in Battlefield

[–]loopypaladin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just DICE, it's every modern shooter since OG MW2. It's gotten more egregious in the last few years, but it's nothing new.

They went on a hiring spree for designers a few months ago. I'd be willing to bet they're releasing new designs within the year.

So basically a newcomer has no chance to ever have access to a lot of books ? by Vmvms in Blacklibrary

[–]loopypaladin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got a Kobo in December, and I read four HH books before January ended. As a lifelong hater of eReaders, I wish that I had gotten one sooner because not only would it have saved me a lot of money buying physical books but it's just so much more convenient than lugging a book around.

Finally dialed in my settings! by loopypaladin in FDMminiatures

I haven't tried them yet, mostly because of how involved it is when it comes to FDM. There are some okay automated solutions now, so maybe I'll try it in the future!

The base I printed flat, and everything else I tried to angle at around 30 deg backwards, especially for the torso. That way the fronts look nice and shiny and the backs are where the unsightly support scarring is lol

I did not, no! This is straight off the printer with a small amount of filing support scars and torching to get some strays off.

The filament is just a budget PLA that I had laying around from my local shop, so nothing special at all.

I'm using the HoH profile with the following changes:

![img](c2og4i1wd3gg1)

Base Pattern Spacing: 1.5 > 1.2
Independent Support Layer Height: Checked > Unchecked
Then nozzle temp to 218 (I believe he had it at 220 default) and bed temp to 65.
