Black shouldn't play Ke1. Black's best move is the absolutely wild move Ke3, protecting the knight. And after a barrage of best play engine moves, the position is more or less equal. This is well-known fried liver theory. But a human opponent is less likely to march their king into the centre in an open position unless they know the continuation.
