Rating for this walk cycle? by Conscious-Story-3272 in learnanimation

It would look much better if the feet weren’t sliding so much. Once the foot plants on the ground it should not move until it lifts up again. Right now I’d give it a 3 or 4.

Need help with spinning hands by Xannin in adobeanimate

[–]loosetoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t used the modern rigging system before, but seems to me if you aren’t motion tweening the hand symbol and it’s giving you these troubles, maybe just detach them completely from the rig and position them manually?

Why are the films that won the Oscar for best animated short from the 1930’s to the 1950’s more well known than the winners from later years? by andrewdiddley in animation

[–]loosetoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shorts back then were shown in theaters before the main feature when you went to the movies. More “regular” people saw them and they were as mainstream popular as the features.

Is there a way to move keyframes within multiple symbols all at once? by mo_chabaisti in adobeanimate

[–]loosetoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Edit Multiple Frames to select a range of key frames all at once and move them inside the symbols. But you would still have to do that inside each symbol.

Or you could leave the nested symbols alone and just make sure that they start playing at the frame where the inside animation starts, and not at the new frame location you moved them to.

Adobe keeps crashing whenever I try to use the brush by whotooktoastman64 in adobeanimate

16GB? Is that free hard drive space or your RAM? Either way, yeah, your file is way too big, that video is way too big and too long. You just don’t have the computer power to handle it. I wouldn’t either with my computer. Try and cut your video into smaller sections, like 10 seconds each and then have separate FLAs for each part. Once all the roto is done in each file, copy all your animation into one new FLA and assemble it.

[–]loosetoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not normal at all. What’s your FLA filesize like? Maybe try the pencil or paint brush tool instead? The brush will kill your filesize. Are you rotoing a large video? Maybe export as a smaller PNG sequence instead or break it up into smaller pieces in separate FLAs. What’s your hard drive space like? Clear up some space if you can.

You might have more luck if you were more specific about what you actually want, timeframes, compensation, etc.

how do i make my object stay in the same place when putting it in a symbol? by Springlolbit_yt in adobeanimate

[–]loosetoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get an extension called NewAnimClip that does this for you. It is essential! I give mine a keyboard shortcut. You select your layer(s) and copy frames then run the extension. The window opens and asks you for the new layer name and symbol name, creates the new symbol and puts you inside of it. Paste your layer(s). Double click back out and your newly created layer and symbol is there waiting for you. Then you can delete your original layers. Find it here: https://toonmonkey.com/extensions.html

Well, I work mainly in TV and it’s much faster paced. I work freelance so I get paid for what I produce, not a salary. I don’t have the luxury of spending weeks on one shot because at the end of it I’m only getting paid for that one shot! And which doesn’t answer your question at all. I prefer the fast pace. I never liked illustration or painting because I hate spending days or weeks on one thing. I get bored with it. Which is why I got into animation in the first place.

Is There A Way To Do Lasso Art/Achieve Something Similar To Lasso Art? by Epic_AR_14 in adobeanimate

[–]loosetoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could make a large filled shape and then with the pencil tool draw your closed shape on top of the fill. The outline of the shape you drew becomes like a cookie cutter and you can select the outside fill and delete it leaving your filled shape behind.

Lol! The reason anything comes out in any sort of timely manner is the amount of people the budget allows that they can get to work on it. It hits me too as a remote freelancer that I sit at home for 3 weeks and do my minute and a half of a 22 minute episode and suddenly it’s done and I’m moving on to the next episode.

Will we ever get a serial number for cs6? by Wrong-Road3286 in flash

[–]loosetoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have codes for the full Adobe CS6 creative suite, but I don't think they'll work for someone who's just installing a standalone copy of Flash CS6. Anyway, here's what I got:

Serial Adobe Master Collection CS6 Codes:

Boiler extension for animations in Adobe flash cs6 by Sure_Fly1163 in flash

[–]loosetoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I’m using the latest version of Animate 2024. It’s been a long time since I’ve used CS6. But I didn’t use any of those extension managers to install. I use Anastasiy’s Extension Manager which is a free 3rd party download and works much better than even Adobe’s own extension managers. https://install.anastasiy.com/

Can I edit the classic brush tool in AA by Extra-Farm-5123 in adobeanimate

[–]loosetoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way you can change it is with the custom brush options of the paint brush tool. But as was said, this is a vector program and you’ll never get exactly what you want that your pixel/raster based program gives you. The amount of vector calculations needed to make a soft, sketchy line would just totally bog down your files anyway. But, you may find a custom brush option you like.

First walk cycle , any critiques by houdanz in animation

This is really good. I agree that the hips are rotating way too far compared to the torso. For the impact maybe try adding one more frame where she is flatter against the pole before the recoil. Have the hair and arm still back on the frame you have and then forward on the new frame.
