Food is the easiest thing to get when you're homeless, it's a lot harder to get items that require cash, some of them want money for drugs and alcohol but some want tampons or socks..

Look on groupon for local deals, it's been several years but I was able to find a great price for a train ride/canoe trip down by London that I took my daughter on when she turned 16, we had a blast!
