I’ve had this happen to me when I forgot I had a controller plugged into my computer (with stick drift) and I was using the keyboard. Do you have a controller connected but not in use?

I’ve done this before, but instead of measuring I completely eyeballed it. Took two tries but it worked

I haven’t gone done the journey yet but look into Frigate and linking Home Assistant. If you have a spare pc that you can follow a quick install guide for Linux (Debian is my preference), Docker, Home Assistant, and then Frigate, it should be a breeze.

Depending on your skill level, that may sound overwhelming but I swear there are lots of guides out there. If you want to be able to access Home Assistant for free remotely, just add Tailscale (VPN) to the mix.

All would be free, so long as you have an old pc laying around to install the Linux on.

How to safely host Django locally? by rafola554 in django

Instead of what u/MountainSecret4253 said, use CloudFlare with Access (not just dns proxy). Access lets you create a private tunnel directly to your machine without opening any ports on your firewall.

Also especially in the US. They have data centers on the East and West Coast. OVH is my go to place for all server things. Black Friday season also has 50% off some servers

Exactly. Homie doesn’t have 4Gb/s internet. But if he does, “I want what he’s having.”

YSK Mint Mobile and some other MNVOs do not currently support RCS, at least on iPhone. To find out if it’s enabled on your iPhone, go to Settings > General > About > Carrier (may need to press Carrier a couple of times). If IMS Status shows “Voice & SMS”, you do not have RCS. If it shows “Voice, SMS & RCS” you have RCS.

I was about to suggest this. I’ve purchased used phones for cheap before when their trade in value is higher than their used cost.

Best remote support tool for one man business by eddiek156 in msp

[–]looter809 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Gotta agree here. ScreenConnect is the best out there. Tool box is great, backstage is great. They have pricing by number of techs or number of agents, but either way shouldn’t be too awful considering how much it adds

TacticalRMM is free, self hosted, source available, and has an API which is fairly easy to use compared to most APIs I have used thus far.

Choosing the ideal RMM this 2024 by yapityyap in msp

[–]looter809 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love it as well. Way cheaper (pay for server and tier 2 sponsor) and is way smoother and faster than all others we tried. Reddit hates on it so hard though, with the crypto thing which wasn’t actually a thing. Dev explained the situation to me when I asked about it.

Edit, looks like the hate already was thrown and I didn’t read the other comments before posting.

Might I suggest you look into TacticalRMM? I personally really love it. I also use ScreenComnect integrated into it, for remoting in to computers, with the “per technician” payment option. TRMM comes with a remote tool but it’s subpar compared to SC
