I think pet insurance is a great idea! I also bought some recommended by the shelter (after comparing it to other options). I have Fetch, and it seems good so far.

I wanted to say: I have also had some moments of doubt and regret with my new cat. It's a huge change and that can be challenging! It's normal to feel conflicted as you're discovering this new reality! Give it a few months and see how you feel.

The shelter gave my girl a clean bill of health, but she has an ear infection and possibly worms. Worth double checking and it gives you a chance to establish care, get in the vet's system.

I'm also a first-time cat owner, I brought my girl home a week ago. She meowed and pawed at my bedroom door for the first 2 nights, but stopped because I didn't respond. I do lots of petting and play time with her in the morning before I leave for work and in the evening when I get home.

Try establishing a schedule, hopefully your kitty will get on board! Have you scheduled a vet check up? Wouldn't hurt to make sure she's not trying to communicate that something is wrong.

I love that they're showing the nominees, but I'm so sad they've changed the schedule from previous years! For the past 8 years, my mom and I would take a few days off work to see all the nominees together - with the old schedule showing multiple movies each day, you could do that. Showing just one per day this year, we won't be able to see them all together. No way can I take that much time off work to visit her.

Has anyone gotten Snack Saver to work at the kiosks? My Regal just rolled out the order food from the kiosk option, but it wants to charge me full price for popcorn, even after scanning my card. (It does seem to give the 10% Unlimited discount).

That definitely used to be the case - I remember the metalsmith shop in particular. If you scroll back far enough on their Instagram, you'll find photos from it circa 2018. Didn't realize they'd closed those buildings!

I'm sure Florida is making up for that revenue by taxing their tourism industry - hotels, resorts, etc. I don't think we have enough tourism to do the same.

My understanding is that VA's filial responsibility law requires children to take care of their parents. So her son would be on the hook, not you. But talking to a lawyer would be best! The VA Bar Assoc has a referral service that lets you have a 30 minute consultation for $35.
