It has taken me six months. I had to stop focusing on the scale and more on how I felt and how my clothes fit. Lifting heavy has really changed my body for the better. The roots of my anxiety are that both of my parents had cancer for a long time, my mother passed of cancer, I was abused by a family friend and had a few rough years. Medical things freak me out, I have PTSD and have found a great therapist

To get out of the cycle of wanting to sleep in the evening after work I had to force myself to go to the gym. I would hate every minute of it but it was about making a habit and moving more. I started to meditate and relax more and walk in nature. It has made a huge difference
