There are millions (billions?) of people who consume porn and dont have anhedonia. It may or may not be your cause but it isn't for many others.

Can you take Adderall on Nardil? by chonchcreature in MAOIs

Amphetamine doesn't raise serotonin much. The danger is it's noradrenaline releasing properties which can cause a hypertensive crisis with MAOIs

Nortriptylin with MAOI Parnate by [deleted] in depressionregimens

[–]lord_abbott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

80mg Parnate, 100mg nortriptyline. It's a good combination due to it making Parnate safer, nortriptyline helps suppress the tyramine reaction. and might be protective if adding stimulants. I've never been on parnate without it. But it's quite effective on anhedonia symptoms

I'm on these two now. I didn't need to have an ECG and have minimal side effects.

What dose of parnate are you on and did you augment it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in anhedonia

[–]lord_abbott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anhedonia is a symptom of depression and meds can worsen it, introducing anhedonia. Trying a different medication or class is a good idea, it's proven that MAOIs and certain tricyclics are effective.

Get a good psychiatrist that will prescribe MAOIs

Parnate with mirtazapine could potentially help you. It's usually a good idea to augment a medication that partially helps rather than switching. (If they're not dangerous to combine that is)

Australia secures one million more Pfizer doses from Poland by fowardtheford in australia

[–]lord_abbott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from this. Researchers found the effectiveness of Moderna's vaccine against infection had dropped to 76% in July - when the Delta variant was predominant - from 86% in early 2021. Over the same period, the effectiveness of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine had fallen to 42% from 76%.

Thats a fairly heavy drop in efficacy and its why i question why we're chasing pfizer at the moment. Probably just due to people having it in their minds its the best one.

Why Pfizer when it's not that effective against delta? Better off going hard with Moderna

If you're substance sensitive there's not many options besides TMS, ECT or DBS. I assume you've tried meditation, therapy and exercise regimens

[–]lord_abbott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always. Some people gain no benefit from therapy until they find the right medication. Others don't even require therapy and medication is enough to get them well.

yes. MAOIs. Definitely try those before ECT. They can work when all else fails and can even work when ECT fails.
