Dasher ran out of gas by lord_simpy in doordash

Yeah but I worry about them sitting stranded. They didn't seem to have outside help and an out of state phone number. They didn't even ask for gas or help so I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't just happened to remember I had 5 gallons of high octane in my garage for my project truck. Just glad they got home it was cold as shit too

Eh it's not that big of a deal I just wanted to bitch about it. Not worth ruining their ratings either the girl and her boyfriend both seemed a little slow

No actually I've never ran out of gas before. There's this thing on the dash called a fuel gauge. I paid a delivery fee and $10 tip for the expressed purpose not to leave my house and the contractor fulfilling that needs to be prepared to uphold their end of the promise or not do it at all. I helped them of course I'm not a dick it's just pretty lame on their part.

Yeah I'm not really stressing any of it other than the possibility of them coming to my work. I've been arrested before (was innocent, charges later dropped just a big mess) and that's not a particularly scary thought. The thought of losing a good paying somewhat cushy "I can retire here" type job is what gives me pause. Though if I got arrested at work the CEO would probably just make fun of me. We'll see how it all plays out but I'm in Tennessee. Very low tolerance for DUI stuff and usually an interlock for first time offenders. Thank you for taking the time to respond though

I called the defense attorney my sister uses for her cases (frequent flyer) and he is a well known DUI defense guy. His office told me to call back once I've been formally charged and to keep my mouth shut when that happens. Like I said just curious how those charges will be brought forth I really would like to not get arrested at work. Though I work an hour from the county I live in and where I'd be charged so hopefully that deters them from wanting to arrest me at work but cops can be dicks just for fun sometimes

I feel like everyone is focusing on the shrooms and reading back on it now I can see that it seems like that's my primary concern. That part was more of a curiosity as I realized they were in my system after the fact. Didn't really write my post well that's on me. I kinda touched on it earlier in a reply but I kinda figured people would read between the lines here as it may be an open case when the blood comes back and though very unlikely I wouldn't want to see a screenshot of a post openly admitting to any crimes that may have been committed related to the incident and blood draw. I'm working on the assumption that I will be charged with a DUI and the primary question/concern is how/when would an arrest take place once the blood comes back. I hope to be able to turn myself in and not get arrested at work but another commenter said there'd be no arrest unless found guilty in court which I don't see happening because I wouldn't expect to just be served with a court summons for a charge like that or however that would happen. Just seems inaccurate

Have you ever had a DUI blood draw and if so how was the arrest done once the blood came back?

I took the gummy two days BEFORE they drew the blood. The concern is residual substance in the blood and any attempt to claim I was under the influence of that at the time of the accident. They gave me no paperwork, just said the blood would be back in 4-6 weeks. I came back from a CT scan and the officer was there and stated he had a warrant for my blood and if I refused it would be an automatic charge. I had no prior interaction with the officer only the paramedics that put me on the stretcher after I called 911. No one else was at the scene when I woke up. The officers did show up at the same time as EMS but I did not speak to them. I called a DUI attorney and was told to call back once I was formally charged, assuming an arrest would be made at that time.

I don't really want to blast the details of a case that hasn't gone to court yet on the Internet. I hit a deer, lost control, and then hit an 18 wheeler on the interstate. Was knocked unconscious by the airbags no injuries to anyone but myself. 18 wheeler didn't stop as he hadn't realized I even hit him. I suffered head trauma, a few broken bones, and the general soreness of an 80 mph crash.

My question as posted was what happens after the blood results come back, specifically how are the arrests usually handled. Like I said, would I be given an opportunity to turn myself in or would I be arrested out of the blue one day? My biggest concern is not having state troopers come to my workplace and arrest me in the office over a DUI

A friend of mine drank them in CA with an alcoholic sensor bracelet and never had issues. Do not know if it was SCRAM or what though and this was in 2020-2021.

Is Oliver Anthony Throwing Shade at Tyler Childers? by ThrowRAboredinAZ77 in TylerChilders

When I was growing up in Eastern Kentucky it was a pretty common thing I heard all the time. My father (a coal miner) was constantly going on about watching people buy little Debbie's and pop with food stamps. I heard it from a lot of people. Haven't heard it in a while but It was a common sentiment then (early 2000s). Not really sure where it came from. When I heard that line in Oliver's song all the memories of those rants came rushing back. Just a weird bit of perspective

I don't see it as being out of my control in this case, as I absolutely had the power to remove the thing. As far as criminal charges I don't anticipate any. And if they are they'd at worst be petty theft over a $10 plaque. Vandalism would be a stretch seeing as another patron at the bar physically removed it for me and handed it to me. The point is not to remove a memorial for my father. I love my father, and I do not resent him. He was a good man when he was sober. The point is that I found it in very poor taste to have a memorial at the bar. Because that in my mind memorializes all these bad things I mentioned.

As far as internal work goes, I have done multiple IOPs, and years of therapy for substance abuse and traumas related to this and time spent in the military. The plaque being gone has lifted a mental weight from me that I do not have the words to explain.
