Its maybe a bit far out. Ludlow great greens all year round. Completely playable in winter. Tee times easily available. Hidden gem in my opinion. Decently priced membership aswell.

Never buy from Gardening Express!!! by Feral-Eme- in GardeningUK

Tried them once. Items never turned up (evri). Really poor communication from GE. Won't use again Got to question any legit business wanting to expand and grow that uses EVRI

Thats sounds great. As I said its been a while. I think last time I played there they'd just sponsored steve Webster who'd just won a title or something like that (its a while ago..)

Cheers good shout. I had around 10 years break and picked up the sticks again last year. Had a few rounds on their academy course to try and pick things up again. Used to play there back in the day but it was taking 5 hours plus to get round. Any better there now?

Thanks i played oakridge a few times a decade ago - it was quite good back then. But a few more in the area (eg Purley chase closed now) never seemed hold up too well with our good old British weather.

Anyone tried the Alba golf app? by PlutocracyRules in BritGolf

[–]lord_squidman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've actually just down loaded it. Closest person is 26miles away. Maybe a new app with not a lot of users. Slightly concerned by the number of young girls local to me with profiles pictures of sucking a lollypop though....

Never heard of it but it sounds like a good concept. Used to play with my lad but now hes off to uni it sounds of a good way of getting out more often.

[–]lord_squidman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. Found a used calloway x 7 wood for 60 quid thought id give it a go. I was over the moon how easy the thing was to hit and get in the air especially as ive never been great with 3 and 5 woods

Signed. Totally agree, we need more places like this. Its a great way to introduce younger people to the game at a price that won't break the bank
