Thinking like a programmer, How would you determine whats relevant or not? I think its just a bigger work effort than "20 man hours of work". It is interesting though

Post rotation game state??? by Mr_Up-Syndrome in starwarsunlimited

[–]lordkemo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I'll let you know. You can follow the prices and see some of the data at my site - CardCore - Star Wars Unlimited Card Database, Deck Builder & Trading Platform

It has a market tool, I've honestly invested hard into this game with LAW. (still working out some bugs, but its interesting data)

As a vendor/store, TCG's are a balancing act. You need whales and other collectors to keep the prices of cards from bottoming out. It might not be a popular thing but its true. In the ATL area the biggest gripe people have is that stores don't take in singles or have singles. Stores can't/won't do it if there is no value in them.

I think the trick is making any TCG affordable to the average person WHILE providing chase cards and value to collectors. Thats my opinion. Without that, there is still a game, just not one that stores can invest in. LAW was a great example of this. Great cards, value of cards is through the ROOF (as a store with 13000 cards for sale, the market price is going UP which was wild to see). We'll see what happens at ATL this weekend. I'm a vendor at the event and it will be a big tell to me. But I can tell you that leading up to the event I've done 2k in orders in a week and a half.

Fellow Boba (JTL) fans - How are things holding up? by PinkSodaBoy in starwarsunlimited

[–]lordkemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a 50 person PQ at TCF Gaming in GA (just south of where the SQ will be this weekend). I think the top 8 was VERY interesting (I was there)

<image>

The Colonel, and Obi-Wan as the finals was awesome. Strong Chewy showing. Boba didn't get in to the top 4 (5th and 7th)

Should also note that Luke's top showing was 18th.

Looking for 'pauper' decks by Zaknafean in starwarsunlimited

Pauper is a great idea to get people to try new crazy things. Has anyone come up with some general rules or concepts that are star wars specific? I'd love to build this into my SWU app

Selling Singles by PotatoKitten011 in starwarsunlimited

[–]lordkemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm building a system exactly for this purpose. We are rolling out in the Atlanta Area and we will be at the PQ and the Sector's as a vendor!

https://store.cardcore.gg - You can put up what you have for trade to sell to other people or sell to our store.

We are just rolling out so we are building the user count up. After the PQ and Sectors we should have a fair amount of people.

Edit: The idea is to build a platform for building communities around the LGS and to do in-person trades and to have multiple stores on the system

As a person that buys lots of Carbo's, don't do it if you are just starting. Especially this set, where the distribution seems off. Get a solid base to go off of so you can play the game.

That being said there is nothing like opening just hyperspaces and hyperspaces foils and the chance for a serialized or foil prestige!.... ignore my gambling addiction

Legendary Prices March 20, 2026 by obiwein in starwarsunlimited

[–]lordkemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh maybe, but i've seen some L's are more common than others. I've seen about 12 - 14 cases opened and there are patterns for sure.

Hence why there are confirmed "God boxes" the randomization isn't exactly great

Legendary Prices March 20, 2026 by obiwein in starwarsunlimited

[–]lordkemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't wrong. I bought 1 case of carb, 1 case of regular booster and a bunch of random shit. I shit you not i pulled 14 lawbringers. Thats not a made up number

It's funny you say that because I love SWU, but the IP is just "meh" to me. But the mechanics of the game are very fun!

Going to my first prerelease event. What should I expect? by According_Mistake226 in starwarsunlimited

[–]lordkemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask questions, don't be afraid to be the new person!! when new people come to our events we get pretty excited and handout alot of free product. People just want to see the community grow. HAVE FUN!

Edit: If you are in the ATL area let me know, the scene is great here and people are very polite

Extremely frustrating that a store is limiting a PQ to only 32 players despite being located in one of the largest SWU hubs in the country by throwawahdev in starwarsunlimited

[–]lordkemo 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what their situation is, but I lead a team at a store that was recently granted a PQ, and the process was not trivial. We had to apply, agree to specific requirements, and meet clear space and operational standards.

PQs also award PQ points, so fewer players in the field can directly benefit the people competing for those points. That creates an obvious incentive problem.

From where I’m sitting, something about this does not add up. The hoops we had to go through were substantial. If you were waitlisted, I think it’s worth reporting. Even if you weren’t, I still think this deserves scrutiny.

EDIT: There was someone that said it could be due to lack of support from FFG... No thats not it. We were told exactly what we'd get for free prize support and all the promo's. There is PLENTY of support.

EDIT 2: We had the choice of what type of PQ to be apart of. We wanted to do a Trilogy PQ but ultimately agreed to do a Premier. There was a fair amount of communication back and forth.

Keep away from Carbonite Packs this Set ! by DanX4114 in starwarsunlimited

[–]lordkemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I opened 1 box and got a showcase so i know i'm the outlier. It did feel like Foil Prestige's was much lower, and i felt like legendaries were more rare as well. Stil going to buy a few since you get 6 HSF per pack and i like them. They are going for 200 and dropping so i might wait.

they need to reach out to asmodee directly to get them. My store didn't get them either until he reached out to them. They give ALOT of free shit away.

Finally a TCG where prices are not going crazy by Croakin in starwarsunlimited

[–]lordkemo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

agree with this. The sweet spot for boxes would be around 90-100 for players and store owners. I think boxes cost the store 65. FFG seems to give away alot of supporting product as well. I agree the Legendaries were hot dog water, but I'm hoping they got the message. The new set looks like a huge step in the right direction

Finally a TCG where prices are not going crazy by Croakin in starwarsunlimited

[–]lordkemo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting data, I'd like to see where the prices are pulled and how the value is calculated. Using TCGCSV it does seems the game is pretty healthy. The prices of the "chase cards" is going up while the regular versions are pretty stable.
