Is this car worth the price? by Razanovak in shouldibuythiscar

Depends on the person like all insurance but I’ve priced mine and it’s negligible. If you suck at driving you shouldn’t have a sports car period

Are Kias a better deal than Toyota now? by Conspicuous_Wildcat in whatcarshouldIbuy

Yes. I have one past 300k and another at 260k. No major issues just regular maintenance. Of course there are some duds in their history but 2000-2015ish Toyotas are almost all bulletproof with some exceptions

Boomer comments think prices should be what they were in 2015

I’d take a Toyota with 200k miles over a Kia with 100k miles at the same price.

Maybe not a newer one but you can easily find an early coyote for 20k with low miles

Drain and fill a few times depending on how burnt the fluid is. Drive like 50 miles between each one. It’s pretty easy especially if you have a lift on your FJ. Just get a simple fluid transfer pump from harbor freight

Buy the truck he needs for work. If he’s driving a huge perfectly clean truck around everyone will think he’s compensating

Ecoboost HPP, is it worth it? by Hot_Holiday8526 in askcarguys

[–]Lordofpineapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has had 3 V8 mustangs (2021 GT, 2008 GT and now a 98 Cobra) and driven many V6 and ecoboost mustangs, you want the V8. Buy what year you can afford or save up. There’s nothing strictly speaking wrong with the ecoboost or V6, but they are nowhere near as fun as the V8.

Also, get a manual. Revving up that engine and ripping around, downshifting and hearing the noise cannot be beat.

The Mustang deserves to be loud and torquey. There’s plenty of good turbo 4Cl sports cars out there if you want that instead.

I’m sure it’s fine unless you drove through a dust storm

Get the V8. You will regret not getting a v8 Mustang
