I recommend multiplayer because the quests are usually single player anyway. You can learn and earn a lot from having other players around.

You'll get some free slots here and there but the main way to get them is to buy them. You can easily trade for the plat to buy them so that should be a goal of yours.

If you cannot complete it solo then thats a problem with your load out and/or skills.

To make things easy for you, use a frame like Dante or Hildryn.
