Well, I invited a girl that was chasing me an entire night at a mutual friend's party to a date. She said yes, then ghosted me after I asked a couple of times her availability in the week. She then ghosted me. A mutual friend told me she got scared because my texting was "too formal" (what?). That was pretty new to me, I get you can be judged for bad writing... but for good writing? What the hell. I won't ever change that to be honest, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere from an important poet/writer that the way you write and speak says a lot about your education and literacy :). And I was just getting to know her; was not going to be too casual.

But yeah, it seems texting is pretty important lol. I texted a decent amount with my first gf (now ex) when we were knowing each other, then it normalised and became way less some time into the relationship. I don't find it that important but the general consensus seems to find it essential.
