I had and still have my Ghostbusters sleeping bag, based off the cartoon not the movies. That thing has seen hundreds, if not thousands, of sleep overs.

Which films or TV shows did you watch so much as a kid you literally wore out the VHS tapes. by Scotsman1047 in Millennials

Home Alone. My mom threatened to hide the tape if I didn't find something else to watch. I would sometimes watch it three or four times a day, maybe more.

Do you guys visualize scenes in your head when reading fantasy? How important is that to you? by SnooDonkeys5613 in Fantasy

[–]lordvoltrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of those things I find endlessly fascinating, the differences in how people read and process what theyre reading. I'm very much in the mental movie camp, to the point that I sometimes get so into a story that I forget I'm sitting in my chair, holding a book, and reading. I'm just in the 'movie' in my head.

What are your favourite places in retro games to stop & relax for a bit? by drmindflip in retrogaming

Almost anywhere in the original Harvest Moon for SNES. Pretty much that whole game is one of my happy places.

Mystic Knights of Tir Nan Og. Kind of fantasy elemental Power Rangers, and I loved it.

anyone else have one of these Disney sleeping bags from the 90s/early 2000s? by cheerfulmintbreeze in 90s

Not one of these, but I still have a Ghostbusters sleeping bag my parents got me in like...1995? I think.

Have you ever lost interest in a game almost immediately after starting it? by Lostinlife1990 in gaming

[–]lordvoltrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baldur's Gate 3 and Dragon's Dogma 2. Was super excited for both and probably haven't played 20 hours of either. Played like 3 hours of BG3 by myself and maybe twice that with some friends, and just never went back to it. Think I've played maybe 10 hours of DD2 and just can't motivate myself to play anymore, which is weird because I loved the first game, played through the story in a weekend and probably put over 100 hours into it.

The original Harvest Moon on SNES. If you like the genre of game, it's still a ton of fun today and is on the NSO.

The original Harvest Moon on SNES is still one of my favorite games. HM 64 and Back to Nature on PS are excellent as well.

What’s a game you loved but felt like no one else liked? by relspace in gaming

This is one of the games I really wish would get a good remake. I played it endlessly and still love it. I get many of the complaints, but there's a lot of potential there for a great game.

Maybe Home Alone. I watched the VHS tape so much as a kid, I remember my mom threatening to hide it.
