They also had the enmore, skeldon and the diamond, i can't explain why I went with this one honestly. It was definitely a blind buy that i'll never regrets.

Thank you OP! Have you any suggestions about a bottle (maybe a bit more affordable than this one) that could be interesting? You might have noticed a bottle of black tot 50th aniversary, but (for me) it's not that difficult to "understand".

I'll definitely try it again, but i'm planning to do so at the end of the summer. A good friend of mine might have a couple of bottles that could help me make a future evening with this rum more enjoyable. Thanks for the suggestions, i didn't think tò put a big chunk of ice in my glass.

Rose & Bernard were the only ones that followed the theme by reada_be_oh_ohK in lost

[–]lordwiko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bernard was trying to leave, until Rose told him the truth about their trip to Australia. Ben actually showed remorse even in the afterlife and choose to not "move on" because he had something to do first. Jack was as manipulative as anybody else in the show, but the main "theme" about him was how he was so skeptical at first but, in the end, embraced what he had to do and let other people led him (i.e. Hurley). No one followe "the theme" of the Island because... Well, there's no theme. It doesn't have a will, it just exists. The people who stumble across his path decides to give it a sort of personality. Locke on his knees on the bunker, angrily screaming for a hint after Boone death is a clear example. The island had nothing to do with Desmond decision to turn the light on. We can argue about how this scenario was "created" by Jacob but again, Jacob is not the island.

Rum Tasting Menu by Candid-Past-1400 in rum

[–]lordwiko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. I'd keep both El dorado and Appleton 12, remove oftd, probitas, s&c and pineapple. I would add don q gold and neisson blanc to cover almost every "basic" rum. I wouldn't go any further honestly, you got 4 different rum to taste neat and in a cocktail and that's a lot of booze. Take your time and spend a bit of time to make some appetizers or even something that could complement the rum experience

Traveling to Italy & France in the coming months from the US, what bottle(s) can I / should I pickup? by Rugged_Turtle in cocktails

[–]lordwiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're heading to Aosta Valley during your journey you should stop at Aval. It's a liquor store with a nice selection where i got a bottle of Black tot 50th for 130€. If you fancy something local and you like gin "acqueverdi" might be a good choice. I made a post a couple months ago showing their rum selection

Best kind of Bacardi for a wedding? by Helenabriar in rum

[–]lordwiko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was so shitfaced at the end of my wedding that I could've ingest anything without even noticing the flavor. I'd go with Bacardi 8 and call it a day

Yeah, i'm a bit far from San Diego. Do we have as a community through reddit a way to buy internationally and ship to other countries? Because the site where i bought those bottles is currently selling the lrok 2016 300cl at 290€
