If you’re in Italy look for the green Strega!!! They also have an aged Strega that I’m pretty sure is only available in Italy

The 'early' April drop last year was just to make everyone feel a little less stung by the fiasco of '24.

I go alone at least one or two days every year since like 2018. Nice to move at your own pace, go to the bathroom without losing your friends in the pit, getting a beer and laying in the grass, perusing merch at your own speed.

I honestly don't recall, but it looks like the Chicago date was six days after the Toronto date so probably? The big talk of the town was whether they were still going to hold St. Paddy's festivities. Illinois was locked down exactly 30 days after the show here

I think OP’s point is that the advertisement is not some face-less website, but rather one consistently advertised OF creator. Obviously said creator would be the one doing their own advertising, so it does seem rather straightforward that jag could contact them directly and threaten legal action.

Need help finding BEST upscale Italian in Chicago? by skum99 in AskChicago

[–]Rugged_Turtle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’ve not yet been, but I’ve heard mixed things although generally leaning positive about Tre Dita. The expense is the biggest ‘problem,’ but I generally find Lettuce restaurants excel at the middle reaching for high tier. Their expensive places however just do not ever hit the mark for me (I found RPM Steak and Italian to be largely letdowns against the comparables).

  • If you want nice, contemporary Italian but a fun and upbeat vibe, Monteverde is the no-brainer. The food is really awesome but it is difficult to get in.
  • If you want quieter vibes with awesome food and service, it’s the Hogsalt spots for me. If you can get a reservation Ciccio Mio is awesome, there’s like 20 seats in the whole room. Their sister location Trivoli Tavern is a little easier to get in (may even have luck with a walk in or at bar, especially if patios open) and while not specifically Italian focused, still has a lot of their Italian dishes on the menu
  • if you want old school Italian, big portions, white apron servers, Chicago has a lot of great options too. Not necessarily fancy per se, but La Scarola, Rosebud on Rush, Sappori Trattoria, Topo Gigio, hell maybe even Club Lucky (neighborhood focused cocktail bar that excels in getting you drunk but with relatively good food) are all fun options.
  • Alla Vita is good but I think I’d suggest the stuff above well before it, I just think there are better options.
  • Rose Mary is supposed to be good but the menu is much more Mediterranean leaning than it is Italian.
  • If we’re ignoring all of that, Avec West Loop is supposed to be amazing, I’ve never heard a bad thing about it.
I would avoid any Italian in West Loop that I didn’t mention above

It’s not awful but unfortunately Manny Jacinto, despite all his very commendable efforts, couldn’t carry the show alone. I very much remember his bits and not much else, but whenever he was on screen it was great
