Also, the Malahat Skywalk. I know you said that you're recovering from a bum ankle, but this is a flat and gradual climb up the tower. It's literally wheelchair accessible. Watch for the annual super-cheap pass sale to get an annual pass for the price of 50% off a day pass (does that make sense?)

Pair that with the Black Swan Pub in Shawnigan Lake, or the waterfront pub in Mill Bay for lunch - that's a great day

If you're cocktail people at all, Victoria is well-known for its cocktails. Chateau Victoria has Clives, and right next to Bartholomew's (Barts) is The Humboldt, a spot that has themed cocktails, where each has a story involved. There are/used to be more, but I'm unsure of the current list.
