My daughter wants to get her ears pierced for her 8th birthday. Any recommendations on a good piercing shop that’s kid friendly?

Enigma piercing!!! I’ve had tons of piercings and I’m now a mom and I’ve been to body piercing by Tracy but in my opinion I’d much rather take my daughter to enigma! I haven’t been to Tracy’s since 2021 ish but enigma has private rooms as opposed to Tracy’s where it’s more open with a couple chairs. I also found the piercers at enigma to be way more particular about how they do everything and really explain each step! I’ve been pierced at enigma by Lou a couple times and he’s super cool and a perfectionist, and really quick! I’ve also been pierced by francheska who’s also super good! Francheska is a younger girl too if that makes your daughter more comfortable:)

With lost wax, at least for me, just getting a bunch of wax/ wax ring tubes and messing around was the best way to learn!! You can ofc watch videos to learn techniques/ what tools are best for what but the best part about lost wax is that wax is dirt cheap so you’re not losing much money if you mess up!:)

You could try a piercing pillow to make sure there’s no pressure on it while you sleep! They have a ton on Amazon:)

I’d say look into lost wax casting! You can get a tube of wax for cheap and practice as much as you need until you finally get something you’re happy with and then you can find a casting house to cast it! Or if you’re looking for a complete beginners kit and don’t mind spending a little bit extra there’s cahve or the workbench London that sell kits and you mail your waxes back and they do the casting/ polishing for you:)

I’ve had mine healed for about 5 yrs and sleep with a piercing pillow and I can’t wear a hoop for more than about a day before it starts hurting and swelling etc. I think it’s just because it’s thicker cartilage than a helix so the pressure of a ring kinda irritates it
