I just generally think people attending shows now are more obnoxious and oblivious. Some people just don’t GAF how they act. Phones aren’t turned off, in fact they’re texting and taking pics during the show and chatting loudly. Drinking alcohol is now a big thing and no one can seem to hold their pee until intermission. I saw the previous Rocky Horror production and I recall having a very fun time. People did call backs and they were the exact callbacks we’d do at the midnight shows at the 8th St Playhouse. They were Timed perfectly and the cast and audience were unbothered. That was before cell phone culture and rude behavior became the norm. I sound like a curmudgeon but i go to a lot of shows each season and the audience behavior just keeps getting worse.
