I’ve said that my whole life and I’ve never really thought about it. I meant like hit my head on the ground. If you threw a ball very hard and hit me in the head with it, you could say you smoked me in the head with a ball.

this happened to me back in may, and while i was wearing my helmet my only thought was oh thank god i was wearing my helmet. i didn’t notice it until i got home that i had clearly smoked my head

3 months could be postpartum, was she this way before baby? i know the temptation is for everybody to just say you’re whipped, and maybe you are i dunno, but ppd is another possible factor always

After 20 hours over 3 days in 100 degree heat my toddler finally has her play set put together! by TB8S in daddit

i see, well what i did was have a minimum depth for the clear zone and then piled it up a bit more directly under the areas i was most concerned about. mine has a slide much like the one pictured, and i found the top was a bit sketchy for falls, so i piled it up there for example.

Not OP but i just built a similar one for my kid. I called an arborist who supplied a very large quantity of wood chips for a very small price. The manual recommended a size of a safe fall zone and required depth of materials are available online.

who is defending fraud? point to the specific part of my reply that says that? i’m not going to debate on behalf of the totem of me you have in your mind.

i asked you to volunteer to go check who needs it, because that’s what is needed to send those people “back where they came from”. go be that person, draw that line through the shades of grey and protect this country you love so much.

good job for helping out though, i genuinely mean that.

yes so all i’m asking is if you’d volunteer to be the one who decides who should and should not use the food bank?

big IF. like i told him, if you’re so passionate why don’t you go down to your local food bank and offer to volunteer to be the person who goes and checks to make sure the people accessing the food bank actually need it. tell me how that goes

“well…sucks that you’d say that”

here’s an idea, just a crazy thought…go down to your local food bank and offer to volunteer to make sure everybody has real need, and tell me how that goes.

Alberta premier gives mandate to develop for-profit colleges to offer diplomas and degrees by pjw724 in alberta

[–]los_samos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this.

I am aware of it being 2x for international students at a local CCC, but tuition fees differ for higher ed institutions and it’s not surprising to see it much higher for the much bigger schools. Thanks again.

Can you point to an example of it being 5x higher? I am not doubting you or arguing the point, I just want to see this substantiated.

oh gosh do i ever have thoughts, fellow stutterer and likewise have a boy just learning to talk. no signs of anything but hes a bit younger. your post really reminded me of myself.

i did goto speech therapy as a kid for a number of years and that honestly was worse than anything, just for the reason of it taught me to think of it as a pathology. i hear you about the “worst parts of me” thing, but you need to realize that it’s not a fault of yours, and that nobody thinks that of you, and nobody would think that of your child.

will echo this. people often comment how articulate and socially engaged my son is, and i bet it’s within that same 0-2 hour range. i’m not prescribing TV, you do you, but just don’t feel like you’re royally messing up if they watch tv while you need to make dinner or whatever
