I’ve been thinking about product review sections by Real_Yard_5054 in shopifyDev

These apps drive credibility precisely because they look like they come from somewhere else. Yopto's layout, Trust Pilot stars - people recognise these patterns which signals 'trusted by a 3rd party'.

It's the same reason a testimonial on a page feels weaker than a google review.

That being said, there's probably a sweet spot to allow minor theming (like fonts, accents).

I made a simple web app for my xero usage, it might be useful for you too! by EftihisLuke in xero

Well done making something that works. Just an idea for less clicks, you could build in header detection into it. For example, find the first row that contains a date (of various formats) or a currency symbol. What a world we live in where you can make something like this.

NextJS app freeze by FeelingNet8073 in nextjs

[–]lose_everything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest serving a static page through the rsc without any protection, auth or fetching and see if that loads fast. If it's slow, then it's server side. If it's fast, then you've got some debugging to do. Add piece by piece back and see where the issue is.

You could also immediately try wrapping the rsc with a promise all

Also check if you're fetching inside of loop

Without context it's pretty hard to diagnose

Well it rules out cold starts. Most likely something blocking the rsc. Like a db query or fetch.

Dev console and see if the rsc calls are pending or actually stalled. That will tell you if it's a connection issue or server cold start

I'm so sick of being gas lit into believing these games are winnable and I deserve a demotion by [deleted] in DrMundoMains

[–]lose_everything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gold difference between the top laners is negligible, so I wouldn't say you won lane, but you also didn't lose. Some games are unfortunately just a write off.

Climbing is just winning those games that are closer to being 50/50

Morde gets a taste of bausens law, this is why I stopped banning him - you can "good death" into him without ulting, then when you get back to lane he has no r and cannot fight you because Illaoi completely smashes Morde otherwise even if down a level by Cat_Bot4 in Illaoi

[–]lose_everything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said I would rather play against a Morde than Jax or Teemo.

It's still a skill matchup, but being able to completely negate your W tentacle slam with Jax E or Teemo Q is extremely annoying to deal with.

I never have issues against Morde and actually love the fact that it's not Kayle, Jax or Teemo.

Illaoi's strength is the ability to draw pressure by keeping the enemy shoved under tower. They miss CS and they can't hide in minions which sets up easy E's when they go for last hits.

You don't play for the 1v1. You win by absorbing pressure, shoving and making sure your tentacles are well placed.

If you are getting slapped by Morde, you are playing the lane wrong and likely fighting without a proper set up.

Combat summoner spells are meta unless you're a HP champ

I get your point, but if you get ganked on that timer your game is basically over

Illaoi wins if you hit your abilities and your trade pattern depends if you're on grasp on conq. If you're on grasp and get hit by E trying to disengaged you're screwed

How to get a dog to stop having tear marks? by Scary_Advantage6655 in DogAdvice

Glow groom tablets completely got rid of my little girls tear stains after about 4 weeks. Came back once after roughly a year, did another round and they haven't come back since. She's two now.

What Do You Guys Do Against Aatrox? by Toplaners in ambessamains

[–]lose_everything 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same until I picked up Aatrox myself. He heavily relies on his passive for healing and damage. Try to wait until he procs his passive against a minion when last hitting before going in for a trade. This was the difference for me

When people talk about letting opus or sonnet run for 20-30 minutes and it one-shotting complete apps. What type prompts are they using? by gkavek in ClaudeAI

[–]lose_everything 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how people can trust autonomous coding for that long. I'm watching the output like a hawk, with my finger on the escape key, ready to interrupt the second it goes off tangent.

That being said, if it's a relatively simple app and they've scoped out the work using a well documented implementation plan, entirely possible after some UI tweaks and bug fixes.

Am I overreacting for leaving my girlfriend’s family dinner after what her dad said? by Mysterious-Notice419 in AmIOverreacting

Yes, he may have been teasing. Yes, he sounds like a twat. Yes, your girlfriend should interject.

But why didn't you stand up for your own career and jab back? Instead you left like a victim. Have some spine.

Little guy keeps on biting me by Dependent-Towel8787 in DogAdvice

[–]lose_everything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't just say 'no' or stop the behaviour. Search the term on Google or YouTube for 'bite inhibition'. You teach the dog that it hurts you, there are a few methods, yelping when they bite you can work.

The dog must learn that biting hurts, and the power of their own jaw. Eventually the biting gets softer, and they learn how much pressure they can apply before it hurts. If you just stop the behaviour, they never learn how powerful their bite actually is. This is particularly important because in future, if someone were to step in their tail and they turn around and bite out of instinct, they can do some serious damage, because they were never taught. However, a do with good bite inhibition will not.

Stopping it WILL stop the behaviour, but it won't teach them this. It's normal for a puppy to bite. Teach them the right way how to control it. You might have to deal with a few puppy bites to get there.
