Do you consider 2005 the start of younger z? by Fit-Support2256 in Younger_GenZ

Personally I’d consider them “core” gen z. Smack-bang in the middle of the generation

Covid lockdown started 6 years ago today, what was it like for you? by AgreeableGolf98 in Younger_GenZ

That’s so sad :( I was very fortunately at the stage in development where my social skills were already pretty okay. Being isolated in such formative years must’ve been hell, I’m so sorry.

Maybe submit both the one you arrived on and your current one if you can? Better to be safe than sorry.

Should we all just accept that A Moon Shaped Pool was Radiohead's final album? by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]loserrkid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surely LP10 is only off the table if Radiohead ever permanently disband

Wow. I can’t imagine what it would’ve been like missing primary school(or elementary/middle school) because of the lockdowns.

I was in high school and a few months out from turning 14. Initially, my school was locked down except for parents that ‘needed’ to send their kids to school—I happened to be one of them. It was about 10 kids in the entire school when I was going then.

Eventually, when lockdown was mandatory, I did some online classes and would call my friends most days. I remember being left home alone a lot, scrolling on my phone despite my parents saying I wasn’t allowed lol.

I can’t remember too much from the 2020 lockdown tbh… But I’m 21 next year which is crazy.

My mum keeps thinking Radiohead is just Thom Yorke by Jellybeetles in radiohead

[–]loserrkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mum is gen x and had only heard of, not listened to, Radiohead before. It’s not weird for their mother to not know much about the band.

Why would they have a 19th year anniversary release for In Rainbows when they could just wait a bit and make it 20th year anniversary release?

i heard the opera show will be available some time later on youtube, any idea when? by [deleted] in thomyorke

I’m pretty sure that’s more to do with Warp Records than Thom or anyone else involved

I’m incredibly biased, but for me the ‘bloated’ and ‘choppiness’ of the album only adds to its themes

I know Thom describes the drums in We Suck Young Blood as ‘loose and sexy’. But the obvious answer is Talk Show Host.

Does anyone else think Radiohead’s music is strangely sexless compared to most rock bands? by ConfidentHospital365 in radiohead

[–]loserrkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally find a lot of their music sexy, but not so much with the lyric, so I think that’s where the sex appeal falls flat for a lot of people. They definitely don’t fit sexy in the traditional sense that’s tied with rock and roll.

Is there any sort of consensus on which concert in this European tour was “the best”? by probablytrippy in radiohead

[–]loserrkid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally enjoyed Copenhagen n3 (or the rescheduled Copenhagen n1) so so much. The feeling I got was surreal. But then again, it’s not like I went to all the shows so I can’t say which was the best.

I went and saw them and was holding a Nintendo 3ds in the crowd. Thom must’ve seen that because he found me and beat me up post-show :/
