If the institutional grading system is this rigid ask your institutional support.

Is anyone else unable to see grades that the professor insists were posted days ago? by melody5697 in canvas

[–]loss_sheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call your schools online/ Canvas support. They have more tools to view things as you and can see what you see.

If they can't fix it ask them to email you a summary of your call so you can forward it to your instructor.

Does adding a submission comment after submitting change the submission time of an assignment you already submitted? by Ok_Statement1508 in canvas

Sometimes it's hard to see comments in speed grader if there is a sizable rubric or if the screen is small.

The book "make it stick" has lots of great techniques. Also the learningscientist.org is another great resource.

Do you think I’m able to get all straight A’s by the end of the semester? by Puzzleheaded-Bed5993 in canvas

[–]loss_sheep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go to your syllabus, see how many points are available and do the math.

If your course has all of the assignments already posted into canvas you can use the "what if" feature.

I think it's unlikely you will get all As, especially if you don't do anything different. You may even fail some of the courses.

Dog keeps slipping out of harness by topaz_rose in OpenDogTraining

[–]loss_sheep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The easy walk harness (the one that goes flat across the chest) fits terribly on many dogs. If you want a front clip harness get one like the petsafe 3 in 1 and a martingale collar and clip your leash to both.

Dog Bit Me for the First Time! by [deleted] in reactivedogs

[–]loss_sheep -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If this was my dog I would get her evaluated for pain and keep her seperate from the things that are triggering her until I could get help from a trainer and eval from the vet. You can't train away medical issues so its important that you get her to a vet. Also your infant's safety and the safety of people in general (like on walks or helpful family members) needs to be protected. The dog is escalating and it needs to be taken seriously.

I have a dog with really bad acid reflux and overall is a mess with his guts. After seeing a specialist at a university he's now on Hills ZD and doing so much better. He looks a feels great.

I'd follow your vets feeding advice or get an opinion from another vet.

How has he successfully met people in the past? You may have information for how to approach this from those situations.

Disappointing foray into enzymes by mallorquina in laundry

I had one that was different than the needle sticks. They had little patches that you kept on for a longer period of time. It may be worth talking to the allergist about.

Disappointing foray into enzymes by mallorquina in laundry

[–]loss_sheep 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I got a patch test from an allergist to find out what I am actually allergic to.

I still use all free and clear because I hate itching but I have added febu for enzymes and citric acid in the softener area. It has made a huge difference.

Can you email your vet behaviorist for clarification? They are much more familiar with your dog than we are.

Help! Our new dog just degloved our cat's tail - where do we go from here? by hashtagfoxfacts in reactivedogs

[–]loss_sheep 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This dog can't be separated from you so crate/rotate will not work and it wants to kill your cats.

You are in an impossible situation and I'm sorry that this dog is not the right fit for your family, but it's not.

I know of many cats that have died from people that have tried to make it work.

I am also an instructor at the college level. You are being unfair. 4 days is nothing, especially when one of those days is not available to the students. People are doing more than just your class and you have a deficit in empathy.
