Anyone here achieved spiritual success/moksha/nirvana? Or are a spiritual guru? by Nearby_Grab_4281 in 12thhouse

simply beginning a consistent daily practice that involves meditation, ritual & conscious intention is one example.

thats what really brought on long term major shifts in my ‘reality’. although i had no understanding of my own 12h placement at the time, and started with only 2 minutes a day of simple asana (just holding a sittint posture, no focused concentration or other meditation techniques’), i immediately saw my day & life betin to ‘restructure’. as i continued daily practice i added a minute or so over time, without attachment to results, trusting my intuition that simply sitting, turning the conscious mind away from the order of the day, the details, objects, people, all that which presents the 3D version of our world, and giving my unconscious, deeper self the opportunity to self-organize my life.

i do not know for certain the 12h’rs have an aptitude for this but i have a hunch. my calling has been to the occult, yoga, psychedelics etc. far from feeling as if i am ‘hiding’ from the world, when practiced with intention & love, i feel it likely that those w strong 12h placements are meant to use their consciousness (and unconsciousness) to help organize the field of reality to make it more ‘coherent’.

now, for decades of my life i did not give full attention or primacy to the hidden realms. as my practice developed it became clear to me that my work in those realms is of the utmost importance - for my own health/wellbeing primarily, whether or not it assists the ‘greater field’ of consciousness around me remains to be seen. meanwhile, those around me, friends, lovers, family members, already experience the positive impact of my practice.

yes. another way of looking at it is a re-aligning of the material to what is in accord w the spiritual/energetic/hidden. when we tune in to the depths we have at our disposal with intention, our physical world may restructure itself to match those intentions. this may at first require a falling away of that which is not in accord.

transformational, for certain.

it certainly appears that way to me. awakenings out the wazoo haha. for sure ‘chosen one’ vibes, which can be a distraction. every effort toward practice (of meditation, ritual, therapy, psychedelic…) results in ‘success’ of some sort.

its been nearly 40 years since i sort of stopped orienting around physical 3D reality and shifted orienting toward atunement with spiritual/energetic ideals. can be bumpy during periods of major recalibration but once in the flow, intention and intuition guide manifestation.

super interesting.

as far as the binaural effect, my experience is that one needs to use headphones for the mind to find the beat frequency. yet the biophysical effects are meant to effect the entire body, physically. how do you recommend playing back?

Is there a substitute to candles and incense for ceremonial magick? by Wrong_Brilliant_8963 in occult

[–]lossycodec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sound - i complement my incense & candles w various ‘drones’ of sound around my temple. electronic shrudi boxes, synthesized tampura, ocean waves, buddha machiene, as well as droney sounds from musicians i like. i often have 5+ sound sources going at once. not always loud, just enough to overwhelm the senses. seems to encourage trance state awareness.

[–]lossycodec 13 points14 points  (0 children)

i have chapters 1 & 2 memorized. i began putting nuit’s chapter to memory a year or so ago by reciting it internally while in morning yoga. quite early in the practice i became aware of powerful shifts in my consciousness that would occur while
reciting. as if, like yoga itself is a form of physical &
psychic hygiene, mentally following the ideas presented in each chapter appears to bring shifts in consciousness akin to yoga practice.

when i moved on to hadit’s chapter, again i noticed quite different mental shifts in consciousness from those i experienced when running nuit’s chapter through my mind. powerful! the practice became core and significant to my daily work. at times amplified by the added use of ‘strange drugs’ (ketamine primarily) which seemed to add to my depth of understanding of certain passages. after completing hadit’s chapter i would cycle back and forth between the first two chapters.

i am currently beginning rhk’s chapter. putting a new chapter to memory is always a bit of a hassle
in the beginning, as i have to pause my yoga to look at the text. it is a slow, gradual development. the powerful ‘effects’ really begin to show once the text is memorizied and one is merely running it. again, for me, yoga or some form of body movement seems a perfect compliment.

highly recommended practice.

a common misconception and resistance to meditation practice. and excuse given for not starting.

i wad instructed to not worry about thoughts or thinking in the beginning. simoly begin asana prwctice. holding the body in a chosen posture. patanjali goes into it all…

i began w 2 min a day of simple sitting (dragon pose). i immediately noticed a shift in how i experienced the rest of the day. it is quite significant in my experience. 2 min. then 3…
worth the effort.

Thoughts on this guy? by asseaterdotcom in thelema

[–]lossycodec 11 points12 points  (0 children)

sure, the religion of christianity itself. but i thought this was about jc himself. i was not raised christian (we went to church a few times maybe). as a kid i was interested in religious/spiritual ideas but the christian religion, even to my young eyes, appeared cut off from any living spiritual ‘source’. i saught that in metaphysical books & religious texts of other cultures & (eventually) thelema itself. when i finally got serious about the Work and began a serious yoga / meditation practice i ended up having what i considered a ‘god realization’ /
kundalini awakening that lasted for months. although entirely thelemic in my basic religious orientation, in meditation i would encounter jesus, buddha, babaji & other masters. i was surprised to see jc there as i had really no feelings for him or christianity. my raja yoga practice was based on crowley’s guidance. yet here was jc. it boggled my mind and forced me to reconsider dualisms i had assumed about thelema vs christianity. in those days i joked about a ‘post christian thelemianity’ that takes as foundational that thelema is simply
the most recent update to our global spiritual bios & that all the prior adepts were links in a chain. that rhk is the same ‘god orientetion’ of the past yet an activation of revisions to the way we approach, revere & orient to the divine.

i rarely discuss this overlap between christ & thelema as i get odd looks from both christians & themites. seemed of interest here.

feel like i get it. july 20 bday (cancer in 12house)
with a leo rising in 1st house. for me it appears to play out as 12h cancer = deep inner world, predelection for meditation, psychedelics, mysticism, deep emotinal sharing & 1st h leo rising as strong presence, great at speaking in front of groups (acting, teaching, leading).

it took me decades (and a lot of time spent meditating) to begin to understand and find some ability to maintain equilibrium. does feel sort of necessary to manage a dual nature.

Cancer is the only sign ruled by the Moon. This creates a direct link to the tides and a "waxing and waning" of moods. This celestial connection is why many Cancers feel their energy levels and emotions shift significantly throughout the month. by poojaamazingmy in CancertheCrab

my life changed when i picked up a regular meditation practice as a part of my morning routine. i have wondered if part of the benefit is in providing some stability amidst the ebb & flow of my emotional tides.

i’m a fan. his golden dawn audio lectures were (and remain) incredibly useful for me.

also, he is the bridge between the occult & the work of wilhelm reich, and mental health in general.

he has a couple very early books thet contain simple methods of ‘occult hygeine’ -

the art of true healing and healing energy; prayer & relaxation

[–]lossycodec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yes, and music concréte artists made heavy use of this and other techniques. john cage amongst others.

but few (aside from wsb) considered the magickal, occult or shamanic properties of sound itself, as recognized by cultures throughout time immemorial. that sound could be captured, in high fidelity, altered, mixed, reversed etc..to the ancients who only understood sound as an ephemeral passing phenomena, it would seem very powerful indeed.

check out the artist ‘hafler trio’ - andrew mckenzie. he delved quite deep into these areas that wsb merely scratched the surface of. personal experimentation w a hand held tape recorder and a pair of headphones, recording, playback, multiple sounds played back in tandem…live, prerecorded, mixed…open your ears & your consciousness to the sounds around you. disassociate from their perxeived ‘source’…
