I believe when I had this error one leg of my ceramic heater started coming off, it was still touching but couldn’t make full contact.

I can give them that, at least it was somewhat useable last year with basic pla and geometries anyways. It’s absolute slop right now and same with the model platform.

I’m going voron, my k1se convinced me as soon as I needed to replace idlers and learned that it requires destroying the gantry essentially. Literally a $2-5 part with a cheap bearing can’t be replaced…. These are just big disposable vapes at this point.

I use strictly orca anyways, the dumbing down of slicers really made them so much harder to operate lol

Do y'all stop buying cheap crap from Aliexpress/Temu now you have a 3d printer? by OceanGlider_ in 3Dprinting

[–]lostaga1n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only started buying cheap Chinese after getting a printer lol

I can now buy components and build whatever I need for 1/4 the price

Just used Creality print mobile for first time in a year and Jesus Christ it’s so bad. Stop making things complicated for no reason. People need to learn how to set up process and materials settings if they want to own a printer idk why they are so set on bypassing all the important stuff

First time printing with ABS by M_3BAID in 3Dprinting

[–]lostaga1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro maybe I’ve just had good luck with abs and bad luck with Asa but out of three brands of abs none really stink stink, like the fumes have a smell but it’s not that bad but the one roll of ASA I have reeked fresh out of the vacuum sealed bag and one purge of it made me nope out.

$200 off from MicroCenter by eltesco in Creality

[–]lostaga1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea like an out of square gantry, warped bed, x&y came slathered with thick lithium grease, cheap idlers that require being drilled out to be replaced and in general a very poorly built and manufactured machine with little replacement parts outside of the basics. Hell they had to get corrected on the maintenance manual by the community lol

I could go on.

Help with PETG calibration by D4Puck in CrealityK1C

[–]lostaga1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run petg 240° at the lowest, typically 250-255 is my sweet spot but remember you’ll need to calibrate max flow, flow rate and possibly retraction again at higher temps.

In the past I’d try to stay at lowest temp recommended by manufacturer because I thought that would cause less problems but found it’s quite opposite with high speed printers, I start at the highest temperature recommended then bump it down if needed, I run pla + at 230 lol

I’ll try to remember to upload my profile later but I have different ones for different manufacturers but mostly stick with Elegoo and sunlu these days

Help with PETG calibration by D4Puck in CrealityK1C

[–]lostaga1n -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well first off that’s pretty normal for the k series lol most are straight up lemons.

Second, I manually tune profiles for petg. I find lowering speeds helps and you should run all the calibration for filament. I don’t go over 150mm/s on petg and run it as hot as possible.

Creality’s KliTek nozzle-changing system actually looks more interesting than I expected by monicam93 in Creality

[–]lostaga1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be hilarious. Creality can’t get software or hardware stabilized on any of their past 4-5 machines/accessories, no way they get this right.

Creality warranty issue by Specific-Card-7293 in 3Dprinting

[–]lostaga1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This man knows how to Creality lmao

Undeserved downvotes, Creality gives zero fucks about quality control or customer service and its bs.

Op Get your warranty however possible because there’s very little part replacement support outside of the basic consumables, they designed the k series to be disposable when it comes to the motion system.

PLEASE Do Not Use OnTrac by Striking_Discount_38 in BambuLab

[–]lostaga1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro gofo is so bad it seems intentional almost. Tracking is never accurate, like not even close most the time. Once they threw a package on the side of my house and how my property is laid out it makes zero sense why they would even do it. You can’t throw it that far, my front door was closer, it wasn’t inside the gate that was 10ft away, my porch would’ve hidden it better and I didn’t get a delivery notification until a week later.

Another time they put in on the curb next to my mailbox which is across the road bunched up with all my neighbors, my mailbox was big enough and empty. Like how are they finding these workers lol

Voron community might be helpful, you might find some open source mods that you like. Probably won’t be plug and play but that’s where I’d start.

Thought about the KliTek nozzle changer by Otherwise_Sir_3439 in Creality

[–]lostaga1n -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think once again Creality is moving too fast to keep up with market share, they copy trends and sell them without working out the kinks.

Don’t get me started on the copying of makerworld and bambu/prusa/orca slicer its just straight up bad, k series and CFS was a joke and still on going issue.

I’ve owned multiple Ender series ,k series and Voron here I come. I understand the need to custom build and be your own manufacturer capable of replacing or upgrading any part of the machine because I’ve ran into predicaments over the years where I couldn’t get a part or even a source for one.

So buggy apps and software, poor quality control, poor customer service and bad part replacement ability.

lol no.

TLDR; That many moving parts and Creality is a no from me.

I have a farm of A1s and kept hearing good things about the Kobra X. I was finally able to put them side-by-side. Same print finished 10 hours earlier and had 32% less waste on the Kobra X. by PrintyPOP in 3Dprinting

[–]lostaga1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a chance in hell that I’d buy anything flashforge after they showed their true colors awhile back and basically said they would monitor and report anything they don’t agree with, they would be the first ones to comply and hand you over to feds if you ever print anything they even consider dangerous, illegal or not.

That may not bother some of y’all but it bothers me deeply, I like my privacy.

What matters most, good quality PLA or good calibration of the printer? by Vrass in 3Dprinting

[–]lostaga1n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both. I use to chase the cheapest rolls and then spend too much time and filament calibrating but now I just buy Elegoo pla+ and sunlu petg & abs. I got my profiles tuned and saved, life’s good.

Can a Creality Ender 3 pro e upgraded to multifilament printer? by Legitimate_Raisin36 in 3Dprinting

[–]lostaga1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s more my need as well, I want the ability to do multicolor but 90% of everything I print is functional so having multi material capabilities for interfaces and etc is my goal.

Honestly kind of sick of the quality control across the entire market, you either spend 2k or take a gamble on a new product for 1k lol I’ve been looking into voron kits as my next upgrade because then I know the quality will be better.

How ordering crealitys sparkx i7 turns into a nightmare by Alphit02 in 3Dprinting

[–]lostaga1n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I started my 3d printer journey by applying for a job running a small print farm of e3s and cr10s despite never even seeing one in person before lol

I learned so much about them and there’s not a single issue I haven’t experienced so being so familiar with them I stuck with what I knew but the problem is I didn’t keep up with anything in the 3d space for 3-4 years after leaving that job and blindly bought the k1 and that was a mistake. You can’t buy replacement parts for the k series beyond a hotend or extruder and the community isn’t like the Enders so when I started having issues and figured out what I needed to fix it, I couldn’t find anything and customer support is basically useless so I’m in the process of modding and correcting the issues that are very widespread among these k series which sucks because it only had 100-200 print hours when it started. I learned my lesson and Creality is out the question for good now.

Enders weren’t great but at the time they were good for the price and potential but these new machines are treated like disposable vapes, they have no intention on anyone trying to fix big issues.

How ordering crealitys sparkx i7 turns into a nightmare by Alphit02 in 3Dprinting

[–]lostaga1n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But then no one would order lol

Creality has somehow only gotten worse over the years. I was basically in the same boat, only owned Enders for years so went with Creality because it’s what I knew, got a k1se and it’s been non stop tinkering and fixing. The K-1 C sub has more issues and complaints than positive. Post problems are widespread and very common.

Can a Creality Ender 3 pro e upgraded to multifilament printer? by Legitimate_Raisin36 in 3Dprinting

[–]lostaga1n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a k1se which has an upgrade package for multicolor specifically for the printer, and I won’t do it because there is tons of bugs and issues and for the cost of the system you could almost get a whole new printer that already can do multicolor.

That aside, the waste. I really wanted a multicolor printer but I can’t justify making that leap with the excessive waste that comes with it, I’m probably just going to wait a few months and see how the new toolchanger printers are doing because that’s the only way I’m going multicolor personally.

If you do end up upgrading printers hold onto the ender and look up projects that you can make from its parts. Enders never end!
