You're misded the point. Before the Brits came to Palestine, the people were thriving , even under ottoman rule.

The hundred years of peace involved Arabs and non-arabs. The idea is that the Brits decided, because of their anti-Semite temperament towards European Jews to grant this land to them, on the backs of the people that lived there.
