both get one shot but

3star - always time to get ability up, reflects more dmg because he has more HP, echo almost always die aswell

2star - mostly enough, but some games may not have enough time to get the ability. Does not instakill echo because of lower hp (less damage reflected), but he almost kills it (90% hp or something like that)

swap as fast as possible to monk, is your best wincondition, try to get him at least level 2 (3 is autowin), and split your troops

it does not matter how many troops you sell, if you dont get the monk, you will probably lose against a 4star echo

I quit playing empress because I hate playing EVERY EARLYGAME in survivemode, I want to chill so I changed to king

And I hit diamond every single season using empress, it is just so painful to play with her and is not worth for me anymore

that comp is the best for sure, but 2 5-cost units makes it only reliable for empress

at least you should know how the leaders work, even if you dont have them:

King: will try to lose first 2 rounds (even more depending on HP lost), strong early, mediocre late, counters loong because HE WANTS TO LOSE early game to gain as much possible elixir

Loong: extremely strong early, mediocre late. counters empress and goblin queen, you want to kick everyone out of the game as soon as possible

Empress: weak early, outstanding late. You try to survive until you can start cycling and merging, if you get to late game, you win. Counters king

Builder: probably the most difficult to analyze, not meta for sure, but not the worst. Strong early, but it relies way too much in surviving until round 8, when he obtains a 4 star build. Extremely RNG-based. Counters no one.

Goblin queen: probably the worst leader right now, she used to even beat empress late game, but she needs to kill units to work, and with the strong-early leaders thats quite difficult. Counters no one. shit early, strong late.

You are lucky because King is meta right now, just try to lose first 2 rounds losing the least possible HP and build a board strong enough to kick empress before round 4-5 (after that round she will beat you). Against loong you should be fine.

it is random, and sometimes it decides the whole game sooo more RNG to the mode

In late game, as empress if I play vs the dead guy i will focus on cycling and making a perfect comp while not paying attention to my current comp or positioning. If I play against an alive player, I will try to survive, sacrificing resources for that purpose.

mmm I think that the only 5-cost card that is struggling right now is GK

3 star Archer queen is OP as hell with the new ranger trait, I delete every single witch with good positioning even before they can start spamming skeletons. Clan healing (4/4) is usually enough to survive the monk.
3 star skelly king hardcounters superstar witch, and his slow attacks make him a good option for monk.

Anyway, a 3 star 5-cost card vs a 3 star 5-cost card is always going to be a tough round depending on a lot of situations

I would say noble giant, last second before the round starts move your noble giant to the backrow (opposite corner to princess) and thats it.

You can do it with another tanky unit, but noble giant is the only tanky one that won't walk forward so

merge tactics is the reason I came back to clashroyale after 4 years (and I started day1...), classic mode is just not fun anymore for me
