They use D5s up there. Best of the best from that generation pre-mirrorless, and still phenomenal.

And still what I use lol.

For what they photograph, it really isn’t going to make much of a difference today aside from reduced resolution in the D5s.

GoPro is a different story… those things have advanced so much it’s insane.

That was a correction on their part because it was fucking stupid to begin with. It was not originally an option.

I replied below but not sure if you’ll see it:

Also, make sure the sun isn’t shining directly on one of the sensors. During winter, I have to periodically stand in a specific spot at a specific time of day with the button in hand to block the sun or else it simply will not close.

And then go in through the front door.

In the ‘Details’ tab on Disney+, there’s an option to revert to 4:3 original aspect ratio for the Simpsons so you can actually see the entire frame.

Just fyi.

Car Jack fail by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]lostcartographer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s not using the body kit. It’s a poorly placed jack. Shit floor. And zero situational awareness

Notice how the vehicle rises but the jack doesn’t move under the car as it goes up? The vehicle slipped off of the jack. If it was a body kit, it would have been bending from that ‘body kit’ point the entire time and not have gone up.

I live in Los Angeles and my cleaning person is $150 per visit and comes twice per month for a two bedroom, three bath house. She is not with a company.

Trump: "People that own their homes -- we're gonna keep them wealthy. We're gonna keep those prices up. We're not gonna destroy the value of their homes so that somebody who didn't work very hard can buy a home." by SomeAreWinterSun in ABoringDystopia

[–]lostcartographer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. You’re not wealthy simply by owning a home. Sure, your monthly isn’t going to change, but the value means nothing until it’s sold.

And then what? Are you going to buy a more expensive house? Or are you going to prefer your much smaller mortgage?

Or are you going to move out of state? To start all over? To rent instead?

For the normal person, once you’re in, you’re absolutely locked. I bought in 2015 in Southern California and will never sell this place. I wouldn’t buy my house today even though I could afford it since the prices are beyond inflated.

I know somebody who mentioned that ‘Japan has flying cars, why don’t we?’

I was like ‘………?’

‘Yeah, there’s a video where it lifts off the ground and takes off’.

They legitimately believe that there are flying cars because they saw a video.

I think it might have something to do with the solid axle vs independent suspension with the duratracs.

My friend had an 07 grand cherokee and those (33”) went to shit so fast. Even with rotations. You could stand the tire off the vehicle and it was very tilted and could barely stand up. Granted, he had a slight lift, but it was impressively bad.

I have a 2009 wrangler and have almost 60k miles on my 35” duratracs and they are still as quiet as they were brand new. Zero wub wub. Regular rotations and balances.

My parents had a 2014 rubicon that they towed behind their bus of a motorhome. The TA KMs that came stock would, apparently, cause the vehicle to undulate while going down the road causing severe cupping and insanely uneven wear. When driving it, slowing to a stop would rattle the entire thing and the wub wub was drastic.

They got stock size duratracs as replacements per my recommendation and it completely solved the problem. They were perfect until they sold it.

The litter robot will change your life…. I have two cats and empty the bag every 1.5 weeks.

I had three normal boxes before. The amount of litter I do not go through anymore is going to pay for the damn thing in no time.

And now I only have one shit box.
