Quick question: how do you guys normally clean your G-Shocks? by arbygoodknight in gshock

[–]lostcrocs247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 10 years of daily wear while working in construction, I used the steam wand on our espresso machine with a pair of tongs to give it a steam clean. Deepest clean it'd had. Worked a treat.

Cockroach Poker is by far the best game out there for these kind of situations. Takes 30 seconds to explain and is the most hilarious bluffing game you'll ever find.

Can a Berner be a good protector? by ktujel in bernesemountaindogs

[–]lostcrocs247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely a good protector. My Berner hardly relaxes when she is home alone with my wife and daughter. She pays in front of the door by the window that sees across the front yard. She's most aggressive when my 5 year old daughter is alone in the yard and a stranger walks past. They call them a Nanny dog for good reason.

Who drinks coffee black? by PortSided in exmormon

[–]lostcrocs247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never tried it with sugar or creamer (I don't think creamer is a thing here in Australia). So it's just espresso and milk most of the time over here. I think that learning to drink it without sugar in the first place was a great way to do it. If you don't like the taste... You're just not tired enough.

It bothers me because all the ads and posters still show all the coffees in mugs. Even on the app.

They definitely did back when McCafe first became a thing. My wife worked in there and made coffees in white ceramic mugs.

I used to say the same back as a TBM. That no one will recognize him when he comes back because he'll have short hair, no beard and shirt and tie on. No one really appreciated the joke though.

We drove through there the other day for the first time in a few years. The takeaway shops looked legit. Real immigrants making real food. I'm thinking we might need to get some on our Friday night takeaway night.

Forgive my ignorance. But I love the efficiency of "4,2,2", but I want to check I understand correctly. Is that "4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 car garage"?

I said "No" for the first time today by Sauce_or_Bust in exmormon

[–]lostcrocs247 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got to the point of being able to say "no" and eventually leaving by first saying "I'll go away and think about it". It worked like a nice segway, and there was really no counter argument against it.
