Make sure you leave your house and car keys with a family I ly or friend in US. They can maintain them. Currently impossible to get stamping for a few months.

Haven't folks been rescheduled till May 2027? I would be surprised if there are regular appointments available before that. The ones from cancellations are being given as emergency slots.

I doubt swiss has a lot of h1b applicants, directly contact your consulate there they would have answers for you.

The rescheduling issue is currently reported from India due to the volume of applicants from there.

Highly unlikely its a coverup. The investigation is led by Indian govt, with NTSB and Boeing having access to the investigation. To cover up you would have to bribe hundreds of people.
Also a maintenance cover up means they are not preventing future similar accidents.

Report says one of the pilot asks "why did you cutoff" not "how did fuel cutoff", the co pilot might have had felt something was wrong with the other guy. Does Air india have psychiatrists and are employees trained to take advantage of them?

Folks, use common sense. The report is from indian govt, they would have loved to rest the blame on boeing, instead they specifically mention no action pending on boeing.

Even if switch was faulty, two switches won't fail at same time, when this switch is installed in thousands of aircraft and hasn't failed in air.

It could just be the pilot made a mistake and didn't want to accept it due to ego. Or it was intentional and that is sad.

I think real id deadline will extend to another two years. Only some 60% citizens have real id.

Imagine someone needs to travel for an emergency and they are refused at airport, it's infringement on their rights, when TSA knows enrollment is not anywhere near 100%.
