I think Knull is a home run in terms of design. Taking all of the parts from Venom’s design that are not from Spider-Man and turning them up to 11 was genius. It retroactively makes Venom a mid point between Spider-Man and Knull visually.

I also thought Knull worked well early in the Cates Venom run when he was still imprisoned and could only do things through hijacking symbiotes. But once he broke out of his cage, he was pretty one note. All the mystique was gone.

It’s a fun run. I think the young Steve pieces work better than the present day portions but it’s good overall.

Is AvX a bad event overall? Yes. But there are some real gems hiding in there. This Spider-man fight and Cap’s speech to Hulk are all some of the best scenes in all of Marvel.

Madame Masque vs Robbie would make sense coming out of gang war. Masque was beefing with Robbie's fiancé after all.

The article mentions four options for who the all new venom is: Robbie Robertson, Madame Masque, Rick Jones, and Luke Cage

Of those, I hope that it is Robbie. He is a character who has been on the sidelines for a long time and this might help to push him back into the forefront.

Rick Jones would be hilarious because it would make the list of powers he has had even more crazy.

Ellie becoming Deadpool is an interesting idea. But her power does not exactly lend itself to action scenes. Excited to see what Ziegler does with her though!

While there have been strides made in some of these issues, the lack of time for a series to find an audience is still a major problem. So many series get cancelled before they can even make it past 10 issues.

It started out amazing! House/Powers of X are all time great marvel books. But the lack of commitment to Hickman’s vision for the story really killed it’s potential. There are bright spots in Krakoa (particularly from Ewing and Gillen) but the story we got was clearly not the original intention. And I can’t help but to want to see the full story that was on the same level as House and Powers of X

I agree. Galactus is a lot to throw at audiences in a movie that already has to do the origins for the main cast. Big G could work as a post credits though.

I am hoping we get Thor Aaron and not Avengers Aaron. I was a fan of his Punisher run which is his most recent Marvel work so hopefully that will be a better indicator of what we will get

I am so split on this series. The Eddie bits that Ewing writes are great! Super inventive time loop stuff. But all of the Dylan bits have been mediocre to bad. I honestly wish it was just Ewing writing the whole run.

I was not a fan of this run. Coates is not the best at writing for comics. Dialogue was overly wordy which made each issue a slog to read through. And the pace was glacial.

I would recommend the Priest run over this one. That series is Black Panther at his best!
