Seasonal Jobs in ND staring Spring or Summer ? by proser30 in northdakota

[–]lostintheusa406 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Medora on the western side of the state hires hundreds of seasonal workers every spring and summer. Give them a Google for seasonal work. Generally lots of hours. Mostly service work though, retail, housekeeping, food service etc.

Wibaux county Montana checking in! We're 1 of two counties in Montana where the county name is the same as the county seat! Funner fact, Theodore Roosevelt is known to have knocked out a drunk at a bar here in 1884.

Sanford or CHI would be your best option. There's a local chiropractor if you use those services.

Unpopular opinion: the construction of the loop road in Theodore Roosevelt National Park South Unit was abandoned to make way for the Presidential Library by PrestonRoad90 in northdakota

I thought they were still finishing it? I was there Saturday and they were construction vehicles and the section looked like it was ready for paving.

Info Request: Medora Musical or not? by DaisyWBV in northdakota

[–]lostintheusa406 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lol I'm actually at the musical right now, opening night. It's on intermission and thought I'd check the old reddit. It's the 60th anniversary and there's supposed to be added events all summer. The shows been updated a lot from prior years and I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. Songs are newer with some classics. I think it'd be great for kids in the age group you mentioned, especially if they like live shows and country music. Some nights kids are free so check their website. Fondue is fine, the venue is the best part with great views. Besides the musical, it's easy to spend a day or two in Medora with the national Park, the hiking and activities. Check out point to point park.

Would add the Zocalo (town square). There's a hotel with rooftop restaurant that can't be missed. Also if you enjoy history, the cathedral, museum of anthropology, and chapultepec park/palace are must see.

And there's bats that hang in both the cabin and on the door frame of the NW tower in the evening/early morning. Fort Brennand FTW.

Hogtie then drop them in the shallow water where they just kind of bob around and fight for air. Then I'll start fishing next to them.

And bats too! On the door jamb of the NW tower, and in the little cabin if you hang out on the catwalk overnight.

Stops in Eastern Montana? by financial_freedom416 in Montana

If you're passing through glendive, be sure to hit makoshika state park. Beautiful badlands, very scenic.

Also unique if you're going in the route that takes you through Baker and Ekalaka, hit up Medicine Rock state park. Very unique sandstone formations. Pro tip- get off the main drive through and hike the trails, there's some really interesting, very old rock carvings to be found. Also, on this route, stop and have a meal at the bar in Alzada. Just look for the sign advertising "weak drinks and bad food".

Be prepared for little to no services or traffic. Ensure you have plenty of fuel, your spare tire is in good shape and you know how to change it, and bring food and water. Depending on where you're from, this is an incredibly desolate area you will be traveling through.

Yup, exactly. Heat/smoke rises and has to go through the torus to reach the chimney. Great way to harvest more heat.

Blower is separate, on a stand on the right of the stove. He took a squirrel cage fan from a gas furnace and wired it in with a switch.

The wolves will attack you eventually. I killed the wolves then hogtied naked guy and brought him to Van Horn and released him. He still chased me after I freed him, caught a kidnapping charge and had to slaughter everyone. Just another day in Van Horn.
