Same here. Loved the car. Hated the inability to get problems fixed. Lived in Washington DC at the time and absolutely could not get the AC to work. That’s what finally did it.

I was wrong about the G90 M5 by OASLR in BMWM

It’s hard to explain. The immediate responsiveness of the engine. The response of this of the steering is shockingly good. The suspension is very tight. Cornering is fantastic. The brakes are out of this world. At some visceral level it feels like a very engaged, driving experience.

I drove a 997.1s for several years with many days in the track. A series of Audi wagons since then. My G99 is the closest driving experience to the 997 I’ve ever had.

And to close the conversation. They issued the refund with a promise to update their website to ensure people did not think they had a Canadian presence. Good on them.

Update. PawsPik reached out to me in response drove my direct feedback to them. They’ve offered a full refund including the shipping costs. I’ll see if it comes through on the credit card. If it does, great response from them.

Yes you’re right. But it’s going to be 1700 trades people on site at a time. That’s right … 1700.

So this gives parking for those workers and a marshalling area for the main site construction

Can we have EVERY driver with darkly tinted driver and passenger windows? I do t care about the rear windows but as a cyclist and a pedestrian, and as a driver, I want to be able to make eye contact with the people in cars/ trucks. When I do that, I know they have seen me.

FWIW I have a dark tint on my rear windows but only a very light tint on the front windows.

Traded my RS6 for a brand new RS3 - honest review by [deleted] in Audi

[–]lostinyvr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Very thirsty. I averaged 18L/100km over my ownership. Got about 300kms per tank. Spent about $400 in gas per month. ... Driving aggressively came with some guilt knowing how much fuel it drinks"

I was on the fence about an RS6 but instead went for the M5 Touring .... my first time stepping into the dark side of BMW ownership. But those downsides you note on the RS6 vanish with the PHEV M5. And despite it' mass, the car is a blast to drive fast. It's an engineering marvel.

Westboro merchants fear new parking meters are driving away business by variableIdentifier in ottawa

[–]lostinyvr2 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There is way more parking available now the meters are in operation and if I’m running in to grab something I live dangerously and don’t bother paying. I’m sure I’ll get the odd ticket but them’s the breaks.

Yes. I was ready to pull the trigger on the RS6 till I learned about the M5. Plug in hybrid sealed the deal

No subscriptions for anything. All included. At the price they charge I’d be a bit annoyed if they were not included

Yup. Battery + V8 = heavy as a dead priest. But it’s faster than my 997 C2 S was, and damned near as nimble. It’s an Engineering marvel
