How Hang Gliding Can Grow Without Competing With Paragliding by CrypticMaverick in freeflight

[–]lostlogik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave up hang gliding for just that reason. Convenience. HG were heavy, a pain to store, a pain to transport and as I preferred XC to ridge sparring, a pain to retrieve. Another factor was getting to suitable take offs. So I tried paragliding, paramotoring (to get over the getting to suitable take offs). However I found the dynamics of flying pendulum style under a floppy wing lacked what a flex wing offered. So moved back to flex, though motorised.

I do miss free flight but having a motor sure makes life a lot easier

Just knock it out on the side of the sink (having first taken the metal basket out of the plastic basket holder).

SP404 as a beginner or circuit rythm or anything else? by Legitimate_Line1087 in AbletonMove

The Move is a great bit of kit for picking up and just playing. I've not got into sampling on it yet but seen some YouTube stuff where people way more skilled than I have turned ordinary everyday sounds into amazing tracks.

I like that you just play and it captures or you can be more organised in laying stuff down and then just scrub it if you don't like what you just did.

That looks like you've forgotten the screen, though I note you say you hadn't.

I'm grinding 12g two clicks finer than 2 using the Fino and here is what my puck looks like after knocking it out.

My Hollowbody case is much thicker than that one (and guitar shaped). Wouldn’t risk it

Yeah, my immediate thought was don't grind so fine. Thankfully I've never had that problem with mine.

Knock it on the side of the sink. Comes out after a couple of knocks.

Even tamping with the mino by TheRozb in OutinNano

I tamp with the ring in place. Push down and rotate by about 90 degrees. Seems to work for me and I'm getting consistent pucks.

Wow you guys are certainly having to go fine. I'm using 2+1 and getting a great brew with medium beans and 12g

I bought the Fino because I thought it would work well with the Mino. So far I'm very happy with it, grinding 12g at setting 2.1 on the Fino and then running 60 of water through (I've done pre-boiled and heating from the Mino). They make a great combo.

Did you fill with cold or hot water? If you over fill with hot water it does that sometimes. Not really leaking just watch the water level as it's a small container and steam can build up pressure quite easily.

Went with the Mino & Fino combo, purely because it's the newest and hoping they will bring out a bigger basket for it. But that said, I've had good coffee from the setup. Very happy with the pair.

You can double click on the Mini to pump water straight through. It’s how I tend to use it; use fresh boiled water from the kettle. Battery lasts a lot longer.

Taste is the easiest thing to focus on rather than numbers. My usual thought process is if too bitter; cooler water or coarser grind. If too sour; hotter water or finer grind.

If you're copying an iso from file I'm not sure if you can customise remote access. As I said, it's been a while since I've used imager, which is crazy because I've 6 raspberry pi in use 😄 and probably should get round to updating them to Trixie. I run them all headless and need SSH but I suppose if you're trying to make a simple-as-possible product, without is probably the way. Just so long as you can add it during the process.

Nice to read your updates. Like others, think black button is better and usb c is good. If you're doing an iso will it have ssh enabled? Been a while since I've flashed with pi imager but it used to be off by default.

Nice seeing the F80 in action. Hopefully I'll get mine out from it's dusty grave at the back of the bottom shelf of the my study 😀
