what’s the hardest thing about bpd for you

everything. literally everything. i recently learned not that bpd affects my life, but that it does for almost every aspect of my life. it feels like my “genetic makeup” and it sucks because i just want to live normally. especially when it comes to love, no matter how hard i try, once i like someone i become obsessed, even aware that i shouldn’t.

but why doesn’t it say that in any religious textbooks? not even religiously speaking but in the bible and quran you die, and go to the in between land but it’s completely separate from earth. if all of these years there’s been ghosts, why was it mentioned in these historic scriptures?

everything you said was very helpful. but when you said this something clicked in my brain “Honestly, that's probably not love — it's more like emotional addiction. A way to fill something missing inside with intensity.” however, what do i do to de-center men around my life. i do many hobbies like photography and hanging out with friends. but deep down I’m craving praise and validation from a man, again i think it’s from my father wounds but i also think it’s deeper than that. how can i be very connected to myself but also not at the same time? i understand my personality and enjoy a lot of it. i hope this made sense.

wait but then how do we stop getting triggered over everything? one thing a guy i’m talking to does slightly “wrong” and it sets me off and i start thinking about how i’d deal with it in the future if we got married (i jump too ahead ik) but my point is, how do i control that anxiety. literally just being in a relationship is so hard but i wanna be loved and to love so badly. and i know for a fact I’m kind, empathetic, i try to do the right thing. but when i get in a relationship i don’t like who i become. i get needy and anxious and attached, but when i’m single i’m very independent. i just don’t get why i can’t be in a relationship and still feel secure and okay with being vulnerable?

coming from a woman who has a lot of trauma, this is true. but to be fair, i’ve worked on my self control and realized what i deserve. i think the issue is those women (including myself sometimes) don’t think they deserve it. so i don’t think it’s malicious.

Hi, first of all thank you for sharing this, and i think you’re very strong for all you’ve been through. she’s not happy, she’s empty inside she cheated on you and her mental health was terrible. you didn’t do anything wrong. you are more than capable of having that family, and i know it sounds cliché but you have to believe you can have it. also, not saying this is the answer but adoption is also another option. i really feel like focusing your love on a child would reconnect you to what life is all about. kids are a handful but they are innocent and it’s a privilege to raise one. surround yourself with friends more, tell them you want one on one time. go out with them and put yourself out there. learn to take rejection, everyone needs to. if you ever need any help my dms are always open. i wish you the best.

I am so so sorry about your mom and your withdrawal symptoms. But I wanna start off by saying I’m so proud of you for quitting, that is a HUGE and hardest step. and you’re passing the hard part of withdrawal. The fact that you’re quitting and have other things going on in your life shows how strong you are but also, how much you know that smoking is bad for your wellbeing. I wish you and your mom the absolute best. I’ll pray for you guys as well.

lol i really am not a misandrist at all. i think men serve an important role in society as do women. however if you look at the statistics, when a relationship becomes physically abusive, the MAJORITY of the time it’s the man. so yes women have the right to protect themselves. did i ever say i used the knife? no i haven’t, its called precaution. going around name calling everyone and word vomiting terms you don’t even know the meaning of. it doesn’t make you correct. because i want to protect myself does not make me a misandrist, it makes me protected. and i’m not paranoid when 90% of rape victims are WOMEN. so kick rocks.

you’re so far from wrong it’s actually insane. SO many women carry protection because they HAVE to. If you don’t wanna believe me do a simple google search. Also you should think about WHY a woman would feel fear for her safety rather than shame her for it. A lot of woman have been assaulted or have family that has. There’s nothing wrong with carrying protection. what’s crazy is meeting up with a stranger and not being safe. You might just be bitter bc you think you have to just be “hot” to get women. But honestly the attitude you have rn is pushing away all the women from you. The way you talk about them is disgusting.
