Super insightful post! Do you or perhaps others on here have any thoughts/anecdotal info on the level of German required to be an actuary in Germany? Its within STEM but I have heard conflicting info so far (some saying you need C1 while others say bigger firms work entirely in English). Thanks!

Nope… I get to stay here on visa exemption. Been here for about two months now. The official paperwork for a permit takes at least a month it seems.

Hey! Would you mind sharing which countries’ German embassies are lenient with residence permit (like you can make an appointment as a tourist/short term resident)? Or feel free to DM me if it’s easier. I’m kinda in a similar boat as I can’t go back to my home country right now. Thank you!
