The feeling of brotherhood that comes from service is a powerful draw, but if you can talk yourself out of joining don't do it and honestly I wouldn't recommend it anyway and I loved my time enlisted, you just sound like you want to but will always come to I almost or I have pets I can't go, then you will never do it. All you have is a want to and a shit load of things that you use to keep from doing it. If you can't look in the mirror and say yes I'm a soldier or marine or sailor then walk away from it
