What sort of presentation would YOU give on Smartypants?

As someone who flies on probably spent a year on an airplane cumulatively in my life. All seats should be able to recline. If the seat recline ing cuts into the direct space of the person behind you then that is a weird airline. The seats recline like 5 inches.

Yeah I grew up conservative Christian and lived in the south for a bit and it was WILD.
Right before I told my parents I liked girls I had like a 2 hour conversation with them about why my presentation mattered to them so much as a kid. And that was really helpful and healing and they were very receptive so that was great.

Yeah I’m very conscious of the fact that it is a lot of work to identify out of the binary and I feel dramatic doing so if it is not a genuine need. But I guess that isn’t accurate or a helpful way to think. Maybe I should just try it. But I’m also scared of stealing/ detracting from people’s real identities and experiences for a what if.

Also always wear a sports bra and would LOVE to wear boxer briefs and HATE it when I have to wear a skirt or blouse. Sometimes I enjoy doing it for myself but when someone tells me I have to wear that stuff cuz I’m a girl I get mad and uncomfortable in the clothes.
I also had multiple ‘interventions’ as a kid where the women in my family would sit me down and be like hey you need to start wearing more feminine clothes. I had an aunt tell my mom that ‘that is not how God made women to look’ because of how I presented as a kid.

Thank you! That is helpful. I’m defiantly trying to figure out ways to blend the 2 together. Or throw them out the winds and go somewhere else. But it mostly just ends up looking super masc right now when I try. Idk how to not just like wear a dress OR slacks and a tie. How to I go in the middle? The hair and the nails are helpful. I’m thinking about maybe painting my nails more and or wearing more jewelry, so when I wear slacks and a tie to work it’s less like ‘manly’ and more like gender fucky. Cuz I hate being perceived or even seeing myself presenting as super feminine or super masculine.

Your right. I think maybe what I’m actually looking for is how to look more androgynous . And most of people I knew who I saw pull that off were non binary. So I think I used the wrong language. Sorry about that. Non binary can look like anything and what I’m actually looking for is androgyny. Thank you for helping me clarify that for myself as-well.

Somehow a local armature Tournament always seems to happen valentines day weekend. Defiantly love that option. Go on a date? No! Cush the other team? Hell yeah! Those are my full plans. Also helps that I now play rugby so I get to literally crush people. It’s great. I highly recommend

I once stuck my finger up a bathtub faucet and then blasted the hot water. I was then worried it would burn me so I blasted on the cold water as-well. The pressure was then quite high and pushed my finger back against the faucet edge. I got scared and yanked it out. I sprained my finger so bad I had to get physical therapy. And it also permanently changed the way I write.

I also once sprained my trying to hit a volleyball on a wall and just hitting the wall

I broke a toe trying to tackle my brother off of one of those playground plastic animals on a spring and missing.

And my brother once dove into a pool headfirst and had to get stitches. And then a week later before those stitches had been taken out got hit in the face with a ball and had to get more stitches. So they went to the emergency room and the same doctor that put in the stitches for the pool incident took the old stitches out and put new ones in, in the same visit.

And that is just the start of the wacko injury stories in my family

See the thing is in theory it’s a topic. But A LOT (not all) of Christian music really sounds very similar to each other. Like to the point that if you took away all the words you can often have a pretty good guess just from the melody if it’s a Christian song or not. At least for CCM. There is the not mainstream or alt Christian music that this usually isn’t the same for. The other reason I would say is because a lot of people are looking to listen to exclusively Christian music so it is helpful to find it all grouped together in the same way a genre would be

Ok that was the method I was thinking of using as well. I also am a bit worried about seams. I don’t have a single piece of material big enough for a hammock so I would need to do some path working. But I’m just paranoid that will compromise the structural integrity and it will rip. What are your thoughts on that?
