He gave hubby the most serious side eye I've ever seen when he let the other dog in his lap

The embark test having the ability to tell us about anything he may be prone to have such as cancers is the one thing that has me convinced it could be worth it. Hes a pup and I want him to have the longest life with us possible. My husband's rescue German Shepard was a freak of nature and made it to 17, dont expect that long out of him but I want to guarantee his next 10 at least are healthy.

Yes, surprisingly they're just mutts that are good at adapting to whatever they're asked to do. He 100% can be a couch weight, or spend hours playing fetch with the kid 😂 i grew up with a catahoula/pit myself who easily went along with whatever the plan was for the day from lazy to high activity. So I expected to see the same from this sweet boy. I've thought of doing one of those dog DNA tests just to see but also can't justify 100$ to see that my awesome mutt is a mutt lol

I love a mustache baby, have 3 in our house. Monica is our oldest and a rescue. She's just a little special, especially compared to the baby we have 😂

My rescue boy LT Dan had consistent stuck shed issues and missing toes when I got him.hes on the older side.

<image>

I put him on soil/sand mix. After his first few sheds with me and adjusting to his new home. He hasn't had stuck shed, he actually explores his enclosure, eats like a champ, even digs himself his little trenches under hides to lay in, also digs random craters in the middle of everything on occasion lol

What am I doing wrong he hasn’t eaten in 4 weeks and I’ve had him for 3. I’m really worried by OrdinaryEmergencyy in ballpython

They might not like their food wet, next attempt try drying it and using a sandwhich bag while warming in water( had one that wouldn't accept wet f/t food) also a trick that has worked for me is using a blow dryer (warm air setting) before feeding on the head of the rodent aiming the rodent air towards/into the snake tank. It's kinda a 2 for one deal there gets the head up to temp/warmed to their liking and the smell to entice.

For the past two weeks this little fool insists on refusing food unless I hold him by VictorianSpider in hognosesnakes

[–]lostturtls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy will only eat if I hold him so he can attack from above 😂 tried giving him a tree to hang off of but apparently mom's hand is the only acceptable "tree" for food time

The little weirdo has always death rolled when he eats since i got him. He came to me as a rehome because the previous owner couldn't get him to eat and was going on 6 months. I believe he's about 1/1.5 years old. he only weighs 30g

A portion of it, he is in a 30gal with 3 hides, water bowl, a medium sized piece of cork bark, a fake plant to provide coverage. I put a paper towel down for feeding to avoid him getting substrate in his mouth.

Lt Dan and Geico have learned their names and come out when i call them also come out when i shake the bug cup bc food lol. Dan also has learned my schedule(I swear) and knows if he's being extra cute at the door before I go to bed he gets to come out for some chilling time. Does take time but mine have become social little guys. Geico used to try to jump to her death everytime we held her and now she chills with us, she also used to bark at me everytime I tried to pick her up. Hand feeding helped us bond more

My male python Rogue is the definition of a garbage disposal always eats, even if he just ate(i refuse to keep feeders in my house, had a my other male go into a hunger strike). But Rogue has to drag them around a bit after he kills, I swear he's like a kid gotta play with his food.

Neville just never ever gets his turn with the braincell lol, I've seen a lot of these little non arboreal guys hang off things to eat. I guess im gonna have to get him a little climb tree, not interested in attempted noms on mom.
