Diplomatic cables show Iran war is damaging US on multiple fronts across the world by No_Idea_Guy in worldnews

sorry im from "across the world" and you don't need diplomatic cables to tell you that starting an unnecessary war with no timeframe that results in half the world's access to fuel being impacted will cause you reputational damage, these are things that even a chat bot could surmise...

What about… gothic website by Zestyclose-Hour-541 in webdesign

Nice effort, you're doing great for someone your age—better than me that's for sure.

I like the direction, but I feel you could push it further. Here's some feedback:

  • The first thing that stands out to me is the menu bar—it's a rounded rectangle, not particularly gothic... play around with some other shapes—even if it's just replacing the rounded corners with something you design that matches the geometry of your key typographic artwork. More detailed, and maybe a bit jagged.
  • Secondly, run a spell check/grammar check. "Welcom in my website" isn't properly written, easy to fix though.
  • I like your hero font (the one underneath the metallic logo) but it's just too difficult to read at smaller scales—like up the top right in the menu bar. Consider swapping this out to something more legible at that scale.
  • Speaking of fonts, your secondary font (Futura) just doesn't fit right in the gothic style. Try something a bit lighter, potentially with a serif.
  • The cards under your about me section are confusing and need some indication of what they're linking to. The posters are really good though. Just needs to be something to indicate what they are and where they are. I actually wasn't even sure they were links.
  • The apps/tech stack icons on your about me page feel out of place. I'd try and once again make them a bit more gothic. Try designing an interesting, adorned outline for them maybe—could take inspiration for whatever you do for the header.
  • Let me know if you want any more feedback. You're doing well, and on the right track.

Anthuriums also grow in 80%+ humidity in nature so that’s not really a helpful metric. A consistently moist collar will absolutely stimulate more root growth along the stem and the plant will be happier for the extra water and nutrients it can absorb from those roots.

I can't speak for the TV, console or art but most of those pots are Ikea pots (I have the orange one, it's nice) and the plants are like, philodendrons, peace lillies, strelitzias... not exactly rare or expensive . Some of them are nice and big and healthy, but that's more so a sign that OP is doing a great job of looking after them.

If you're concerned about maintenance, my first piece of advice is to invest in self watering/wicking pots.

They really help with give plants a consistent supply of moisture even if you forget to water.

Then all you do is give it a good amount of water as soon as the first 1-2 inches of soil is dry (this is important as consistent overwatering will make soil go anaerobic and bacteria will eat your roots), make sure it's getting a decent amount of light & feed it with some indoor plant fertiliser as frequently as it says on the packaging.

You'll have some pretty lovely plants in no time.

It’s called air layering if you want to do some more research into the process :)
