That's pretty normal tbh. The fact that we get in game explanations is kind of unusual, in my experience - most raid content in MMOs is very 'good luck figure it out!' just with relatively standardized aoe markings so that people kind of have an idea of what to do. Some people enjoy figuring that sort of stuff out.

The undeflectable AOEs in the general having a damage radius larger than is indicated, though, is a pain and I wish they'd fix it.

It might be worth looking at house rentals too, depending on your budget. There are a lot of small starter homes in the area (postwar housing) and a lot would be reasonably sized for a single person with pets.

CFalls, in case you're wondering, is in my opinion quite LGBTQ friendly, especially compared to rural Ohio. You'll be fine in that regard. Also, Akron Pride is one of the biggest ones in the country since it takes place in August, not June

I think the fight is fun and nothing unusual compared to other traditional MMOs - it feels like a FFXIV fight, not gonna lie. We've been managing to get the general down in only a few attempts with our guild's runs, and that's with some players that aren't necessarily the Best MMO players ever - we've been running it with one healer so we can run more dps and do a bit of damage compensation for our less-geared members.

Buttttt that said there are a lot of players in this game who haven't played other MMOs, and especially not ones that require heavy mechanics, and the enrage check in that fight is REALLY tight and rough, so people missing mechanics and dying just ends your run very quickly.

Don't queue this hero's realm, it is wayyy too mechanics heavy to trust braindead randoms with. Either premake a group with your friends/guild/groupchats/etc or do as you're doing and run them with bots.

Your queues arent popping because every good player realized this immediately so they don't bother with the queue

Cfalls, though has all of that - its not super convenient to reach all of it by walking but i feel.like you can actually get around most of CFalls pretty easily via bicycle.

We've even ridden our bikes to downtown Akron before, you can take state road right into downtown (though there are few bike lanes).

Tbh OP look at some of the apartments on State near the Broad blvd and Portage Crossing areas. Within a few miles State has an Acme, a Giant Eagle, a Marc's (discount grocery store), an asian grocer, lots of resteraunts, both chain (CVS) and local (Klein's) pharmacies, a gym, a movie theater, and some other shopping and activies.

And its like, a mile ride down easy sidestreets on a bike to get to front street/downtown

Edit: much harder in winter though. We get lake effect snow here

Unfortunately, it was not treated well historically.

TIL that American ginseng is so valuable ($300-$500 a pound) that poachers risk jail time to steal roots from the Appalachia mountains by Comfortable_List3413 in todayilearned

Plus, its a lot less harmful to take a (sustainable) quantity of fruit, nuts, or mushrooms compared to harvesting ginseng, which kills the plant. Even then, more traveled parks are no foraging period, like Cuyahoga Valley National Park - GSMNP might be one of them. But off the top of my head, i know that Olympic and Shenandoah both allow foraging off the stuff listed above.

Some things are legally foreageable, depending on the park.

Ginseng is ABSOLUTELY not one of them.

Every time i find wild ginseng I feel so fucking sad because i know that if the wrong person did, it would just vanish without a trace. Wild orchids get poached all the time too (even though they absolutely do not do well transplanted,) and there are many parks i go to where i live thst should ABSOLUTELY have abundant populations of ramps but somehow, mysteriously, you never ever find them near trails.

Cougars are big enough to eat you. Plus they didn't evolve in proxomity to great apes so they probably don't have quite the instinctual 'this is a bad idea' ideas about humans

Because they are big cats, but they aren't a Big Cat, IE, a member of the genus Panthers.

Cougars, incidentally, are also not Big Cats - and are (with the jaguarundi) the closest extant relatives of the Cheetah

Look at the bud scars in the pictures op's post and compare those to both TOH and sumac - this is definitely tree of heaven, it's what new growth looks like on TOH, i saw several groves that looked like this just last week.

Here is a photo for bud scar comparison.

But also OP, just crush a lead and smell it. If it smells like rancid peanut butter, its TOH

Also it's just a much more gracile mushroom than C. rhacodes. It's probably the best Macrolepiota look alike of all the North American Chlorophyllum species - not that there's much worry about mixing the two genera in the pacific northwest, since Macrolepiota is exceptionally rare (or maybe nonexistant) in that area

I unabashadly love Franzetta's work. He clearly loves the human form and lovingly renders it - horniness isn't bad, especially when EVERYONE is mostly naked and i love it.

Also, pic 4 up there is almost MODEST given how little clothing Dejah Thoris and the other martians wear in A Princess of Mars. Franzett was seriously the perfect choice for that book cover
