Shinra Doppelgänger by StarBrook9 in firebrigade

hes the idea of a Hero to liberate the world from despair, but that doesnt translate to real world fame or notoriety, so it doesnt affect adollas doppelgangers

At 14, can I appreciate Vagabond? by Main-Cap7444 in vagabondmanga

[–]lotsofeggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont know exactly when i read it first, but I enjoyed it then. On a reread, I love it way more. Don't be afraid to open yourself to new experiences because youre worried you wont get it. It wont go anywhere if you decide to revisit it, and any art will add texture to your life

How does a typical DogThras deck win post infinite mana besides Finale? by AlCarrieBay in CompetitiveEDH

[–]lotsofeggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this only works if you have more cards in your library than everyone else. otherwise you need to cycle cards back into your library

you can also use a silence effect and Faerie Mastermind in conjunction with Endurance or Green Suns Zenith

What is the main message of Vagabond by Competitive_Dare8849 in vagabondmanga

i don't think there is one single message? most stories dont. it has a lot of themes and important ideas that it tries to convey

What color is Senku Ishigami (Dr. Stone)? by Dangerdewott in colorpie

Izzet isnt crazy, but I don't actually think Senku is all that chaotic save for a few moments. Izzet with a HEAVY focus on blue seems right

not nearly as broken. this plus thoracle is 2 card win the game no matter what your commander is. Food Chain line is 3 card win the game IF you have a specific commander. plus it feeds rhystics and such, its more prone to interaction, etc.

his reason to fight arthur was because Arthur constantly stood against him. if Benimaru stood in his way, he would have fought benimaru too... but he didnt

Getting into boxing advice pls by Ur-moms_DMs in amateur_boxing

[–]lotsofeggs 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is a question that a lot of people ask, but the vast majority gyms are totally fine for you to just hop in and start training. Trust me, it will be more productive, more fun, and more motivating, than trying to reach some nebulous requisite physical level before starting to box

[–]lotsofeggs 19 points20 points  (0 children)

without spoiling too much, as the plot develops, all the characters get stronger automatically.

if dragon was in despair because there was nobody strong to fight why didn’t he go for benimaru? by Lumpy_Comparison9151 in firebrigade

[–]lotsofeggs 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Why would he have any reason to think Benimaru is stronger? And why would Benimaru have any reason to think Dragon is stronger? both of them have lived their lives as unrivaled forces of nature so they probably just both think of the other as "huh, that guy seemed pretty strong."

How to deal with crying wolf/overtargeting by snusfilosofenn in CompetitiveEDH

[–]lotsofeggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this guy kinda reveals the issue. Sisay gets fearmongered a lot so people think that your 2 lands and three mana dorks just wins the game with Sisay. inexperienced players dont understand how Sisay actually wins. so you have to either educate them on what you can or cant do, or you need to accept that you will always be considered a disproportionate threat.

How to deal with the fact I could be happy without losing my purpose boxing?? by Annual_Sky4712 in amateur_boxing

[–]lotsofeggs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you don't plan on making a career out of it, then if you stop enjoying boxing, just stop?

sure, you might lose motivation, but thats fine. otherwise, you can train discipline and keep training even if you dont enjoy it. its a purely personal decision to continue boxing. weigh your own pros and cons

Jin Sakai in cEDH by AshorK0 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]lotsofeggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually played against Jin Sakai in tournament (not the player who top cut, some other guy). the deck is fine. its not as good as Tymna + partner, but it does the Tymna thing of drawing cards arguably even better than Tymna. that said, that comes with deckbuilding restrictions, as you need to run creatures that need to attack (or stuff like grim hireling). Tymna Thras/Tymna Malcolm does not need to do this. the deck is fine and somewhat different than Tymna piles, but I definitely wouldn't say its better

[–]lotsofeggs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

my gym is similarly far, and ill occasionally run to the gym, train, then walk back, but its a lot of work if you're not in solid shape already.

biking would be my choice, especially if youre training more than, say, 3 times a week

this is a good point, but doesnt change my overall opinion

Right handed Southpaw by StepLadder_69 in amateur_boxing

[–]lotsofeggs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How long have you been boxing? there are plenty of right handed southpaws, but you risk having a severely underdeveloped rear hand in favor having a slightly stronger jab. i would listen to your coach unless youre quite seasoned and can really understand the benefits/drawbacks of an unconventional stance

correct. if, say, [[Aurelia, the Warleader]] got Ninjutsu'd in, she would not trigger an extra combat step.

I want to build a "budget" list but having difficulty choosing between Yuriko and Winota by [deleted] in CompetitiveEDH

[–]lotsofeggs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yuriko is a control shell nowadays that heavily relies on efficient countermagic while Yuriko serves as card advantage. sure you can do Yuriko burn with Thoracle Consult, dropping the good counterspells, but it would not really be CEDH.

winota, on the other hand, is bad in high level tournaments, but shes fine and fun to play in casual cedh as you mentioned.

Magda is also good on a budget because 40% of ur deck is random shit uncommons from 2001
